I wasn't sure, so I checked: Amazon lists the watch and says the crystal is hardlex, which is Seiko's proprietary brand of hardened mineral crystal, and from everything I've read is notorious for gathering scratches. (I have a Seiko with hardlex but I don't really wear it so I can't really say.)
There's a Chinese knockoff of it for $65 which has sapphire crystal. Personally I would choose not to reward Seiko for being cheap about the crystal and charging more for the watch because of their brand name, but I really don't have a better watch from a decent brand to suggest in this price range. And with that beautiful dial, your choices are a Seiko or a Chinese knockoff with a Chinese movement.
I've used this since July 2020 without issue. Definitely cheap, but everything has worked out -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NL3NHXK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_HNHMVG81RHXZFDQR5AQG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Here's a world timer Perpetual calendar for $265. I need someone to buy it so I don't.
Oh no he definitely bought this as is. Like looked at it and said “oh yea! Thats the one right there!”
So i can't help you in regards to an actual worthwhile watch, but a friend of mine has been buying these shitters for his extended (conservative) family.
That’s a Seiko Kinetic model number SKA763P1. Below is an Amazon listing for the model; if you check the case back it will tell you if your model is Titanium or Steel; I’m pretty sure Seiko only released these in titanium but I might be wrong.

Pretty sure it is this one Rothwell Watch Roll. There are a lot that are about half the price but this one is genuine leather. A lot of the other genuine leather ones I found are around $100 and up.
$250 seems a little steep to me when Amazon has the same watch (I think) for like $200. Not trying to hate just want you to get your money's worth.

Mix with white paint, diy lume.
the Bambino is far from tough, the crystal will get scratched in no time as it's very tall. plus the gen 2 wears weird, too big and thick for a dress watch, lug width of 21mm so you are stuck with the poor quality stock strap. i'd get this instead: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Seiko-Sports-Stainless-Bracelet-SRPE60K1/dp/B089FN7KYQ/ref=sr_1_46?crid=EDNK64TKUC7M&keywords=seiko+5+gold&qid=1658477838&s=watch&sprefix=seiko+5+gol%2Cwatches%2C89&sr=1-46
much better movement (Seiko puts the same movement in watches that cost 500+), it wears really well, comes on a decent bracelet for the money that you can later swap for a leather or nato strap to dress it up or down, really good lume plus it's cheaper than the Bambino while being far superior.
Not really worried about it being a knockoff as the listing sold was directly from Casio.
Also going by this forum thread, the one I have ticks all the genuine boxes.
Heres the link so you dont have to look too much :)
Im not sure yet, but i am thinking of getting something more price since these are all around the 100€ range. Im thinking of seikos, but i havent really got that far cause there are so many good choices…
22mmhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B017351WLK/ref=cm_sw_r_api_i_PY75JXSSHKW3F5PN67M3?psc=1
The watch band grabs hairs at first but then the more you where it, the leas it bothers you( mostly picks hairs when ur putting the strap on but not while wearing) The company has 18mm,20,22, and 24(no logo on the buckle and not quick release)
It was the standard strap that came with the watch from amazon - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.co.uk/Orient-Black-Automatic-Rubber-AA02007B/dp/B01AK5TQNG&ved=2ahUKEwjrzZaEyP33AhWHTsAKHQA5ACQQFnoECBMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3t0DEtBaPRNpqLbDL3wBp7
For that money I would go for an Invicta Pro Diver. Yes some uppity people don't like the brand blah blah but they are great watches and you can get one in a very similar colourway and with the same bezel design for a fraction of what that watch costs.
£100 at the link below on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000JQFX1G/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_KZSY316CN2XX3JEWRHBK
I think that the F1 are great entry level watches, and some of them, like the one below are actually quite classy. https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B076P98G6F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_HJQVCKQR40G4VF5ZF7CA
That said, I just bought a Carrera 02 and yeah, it is a lot more watch than the F1's are!
The Citizen watch I have is an older version of this:
https://www.amazon.com/Citizen-Eco-Drive-Quartz-Titanium-Casual/dp/B07CVCRVPX/
It's about $250, but I bought it used for $50. Mine is highly similar, but the face is a little bit different. (The batons are shaped more rectangular, and there are arabics at 12, 9, and 6.)
This the one I got. Nice and cheap just to try it out if I liked it. Yes it goes under the watch and increases thickness. But for me it's not alot to make it more noticeable. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NS2VX9Q/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_RCMNQ7DKKPJXSFHG82A5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just bought that one from Amazon few months ago before I bought the shock triathlon. So it’s new.
Timex Men's T5K463 Expedition Atlantis 40mm Black Resin Strap Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0040QNHUK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BZAN0VN0N3JAPEK6RYRA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I had to order it from the states to have it shipped here in Netherlands cause they don’t have shit here in NL lol. I’m originally from Texas.
Thank you! Actually I pieced it together.. my girlfriend got me the Casio a while back and I recently got the kit off of amazon. Its literally four screws so super easy to do. Ill link the amazon kit here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HD8XCMM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
Apparently, and there is an automatic version too. Easy to find on amazon.
