I had bought this cheap licensed uniform for a Halloween party a few years back. It felt like wearing a garbage bag, it wasn't remotely form fitting, loose, baggy, the collar had no stiffness, the pips were tiny and rough and the backs wouldn't stay on. So by the end of the party I had been demoted from Commander Riker to Ensign Bum. After the party I went home, tossed it on the floor and my cat peed on it, which it absorbed quite effectively.
100% do not recommend.
I found it on Amazon! I'm 5'0" and XS fit like a glove. They even include the ComBadge and pips! Wow, great job on making your costume!

It says the buy it now price is 8 pounds... that's 1 pound per comic (or about $1.50 per). I would say, generally, yes - you may be able to find some of the older ones in $0.50 bins, but the newer ones, like Countdown, are probably still close to their original price, which as I recall when I bought them, was in the $2 - $3 range. You can see the price sticker for some of them is 1.85 pounds, so at the very least those will be cheaper than originally purchased.
If you want a really good value, you can get every single Star Trek comic from before 2002 in one electronic collection: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Complete-Comic-Collection/dp/B001B5KYR2
Haa. I think the dress type doesn't matter. What is usually more evident is the color of the uniform. Usually if they're wearing red, they're more dispensable. I actually just got a Red Womans's Tee here a day ago. Found it on FB. but you have to select it from available styles. I'll probably get a hoodie too, getting kinda cold nowadays.
Eating food for the first time is the subject of "Stuffing" by Jerry Oltion. You can read it in The Mammoth Book of Extreme Science Fiction or listen to it online.
So when I said "Klingon", what I meant was "Looks Klingon"
I found one you can buy. Personally, I think it’s highly overpriced.

I’m on a mobile and unable to determine the resolution, as apparently don’t know how to use Pinterest, but I also found this. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/489414684476181979/
You may know already, but you’ll want a minimum of 300 dpi for anything to look good that you print out.
Interesting idea. It seems the basic technology is getting close. I mean, we can buy what amounts to a universal translator for less than $150. Ten years ago I never would have imagined even that would be possible.
It’s the Star Trek 25th Annv. Trading cards
TOS were navy border, TNG has maroon. Separate packs. I had Most if not all of the TNG cards. Still have the. At my parents house. There were other trading card sets but for me, this was my first one.

I printed this model with transparent PLA plastic, and then painted over the outside with black acrylic paint.
The green lights are just a green LED tea light from Amazon. I added a hole on the bottom of the cube in Fusion 360 in order to fit the light. I didn't push it all the way in to the cube because I kind of like the effect of it glowing underneath.
I know it's not 100% accurate but I think my father will still really like it.
Happy Father's Day!
I might recommend trying to find a fairly inexpensive PC and buy a good Nvidia card to put in it. I haven't looked at the full range of Nvidia cards or PCs on the market right now, but you may be able to find a decent PC for this. I have an Nvidia RTX 2070, which I think is fairly good, and I saw a couple of pre-built PCs on Amazon with an Nvidia RTX 2070 here and here, which seem like they might be fairly good for upscaling. As far as the processor, I'd probably look for a PC with an AMD Ryzen processor, as AMD seems to be overall ahead of Intel right now and would be better value for your money right now.
Another option might be to find a more budget pre-built PC and buy an Nvidia card separately, but after looking at prices, you may still be looking at spending around $500-$800 or so on the PC and then maybe $300-$600 on the Nvidia card..
> (I don't have a 4k screen anyway!)
The blu-rays of TNG are 1080, not 4K. But if you can spend the money, the complete set of TNG on blu-ray is $118.47US on Amazon right now.
Writing, writing, writing! According to Star Trek: The Next Generation 365, Michael Piller was having mixed emotions about his role has head writer on the series. He'd taken over at the start of season 3 and wasn't planning to continue beyond that season. Rick Berman and Gene Roddenberry asked him to stay on, so Piller ended up writing a lot about what he was feeling into Riker's career situation in "The Best of Both Worlds".
I know this was posted a month ago, buuuuut this comes out to about $96 USD for the entire set. Region free. I just grabbed it, and am selling the seasons I already have to help cover it. I have S1, 4, and 6*, so by the end of it I'll end up getting the entire set for roughly $30!
*I know, that's weird. But I purchased ones that were on sale whenever I happened to see them.
