You can buy Thorin's Key to Erebor for about $9.00. Simple thoughtful gift that can be hung just about anywhere or used as a key chain or on a necklace.

They weren't at the BoFA, but they are in the book after a fashion:
> Tell me what you want done, and I will try it, if I have to walk from here to the East of East and fight the wild Were-worms in the Last Desert.
The Hobbit, Or, There and Back Again By John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, page 19
I absolutely agree! I had the true Tolkien Rune Decal made before the films release as well and was disappointed when I didn't see it getting etched into Bilbo's door by Gandalf.
I still offer it for the true Tolkienheads:

They had something about this on Buzzfeed about a week ago:
>In 1967, J. R. R. Tolkien was considering having Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are) illustrate The Hobbit. Sendak drew two sample images, one of which is pictured above. Sadly, an editor mislabeled an image of wood elves as hobbits, which Tolkien interpreted as evidence of Sendak not taking the project seriously, so the collaboration never came to fruition.

Just going to point out this from the comments on it.
>Very nice but hard to print. Tried to print on a T-Max 2.0 with ABS. The angled main structure makes the supports too important and unforgiving. The print warped, popped off, and left a big mess. I am trying to reorient it flat, with a separate slice for the square ring corner. Many thanks for the image!
Were-worms are briefly mentioned in the beginning of The Hobbit. I don't know of any other mention of them by Tolkein.

However, I suspect that Tolkien meant them to be more Dragon-like than sandworm-like. Jacksons worms seem to be comming more from Herbert than Tolkien.
Sorry for the late reply. I didn't make this. It was made for me by a woman on Etsy. The link to her Etsy is: https://www.etsy.com/shop/LegendaryCrafts
She does sell a pattern. Not for this specific beard though.
Looks like it's on amazon.
There was a book released around the time the final "Hobbit" movie was released, titled "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies: Chronicles: The Art of War" that has photos of the dwarves armor and small paragraphs about the designer's work on them.
Also worth noting: <em>The Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure for Storytellers & Screenwriters</em> by Christopher Vogler
That sounds incredible! This must have been a ton of work for you, but it sounds like a labor of love. I'm glad you liked my feedback and that you agreed on some of the cuts. It's kind of amazing that they made 3 movies that so many huge Hobbit fans dislike, but simply by you editing it down to a condensed version, it really turns into one incredible movie!
You probably already have, but if not I recommend checking out the 1977 cartoon version of The Hobbit and picking up the graphic novel (this one) from a local book store. It can help you envision how best to condense the story (and might help you decide your own personal preference of which parts you want to keep, as you might notice when the cartoon or graphic novel skips a part that you liked.) I've been reading the graphic novel to my daughter as a bed-time story, and she absolutely loves it.
Make no mistake, LotR is dense. If you aren't into such a tightly-knit readings, I would absolutely recommend the audiobooks. Want them for free, with the soundtrack from the movies? Here you go. The original artist, Phil Dagrash put them up for free for all to download. I highly recommend them.
Almost nothing I do is one-time only thanks to etsy! I would probably charge $10 to cover time spent + materials. If that sounds interesting, I can list it as a made to order item in my shop, OceansUnraveled.
Edit: Just made it available to order!
There is an excellent illustrated hardback version on Amazon. I have personally given it three times as a Secret Santa and have a copy myself. It's hardback and looks to be on sale right now.
Here's the link:
Actually it's my LOTR that's annotated, not The Hobbit. Sorry. I'm reading them at the same time and I had a confused.
The Hobbit I bought is this one from Barnes & Nobles: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/hobbit-j-r-r-tolkien/1100068700?ean=9780547951973
Professional video editor here!
You're going to want to use a Non-Linear Editing (NLE) software to be able to cut and mix an edit. Some industry-standard ones are Adobe Premiere Pro (what I use) or Apples' Final Cut X. These aren't free options, but have a very deep feature set.
If you're looking for free software, you could try DaVinci Resolve (it's designed for color-grading footage, but it has a full NLE built inside) or Lightworks. I haven't used either of these programs for editing myself, but I hear good things.
Functionally, they will each get the job done. There are tons of tutorials for each software on YouTube, so just pick one you like and get cutting! Hope it helps!
That’s weird wonder why they have different covers this is one I found https://www.amazon.com/dp/0008376115/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_9N2FP24JTQ8NHGMGB6G8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 and I found the same one you just showed just the text on the cover is slightly different
Yes, the extended trilogy is widely available as a single package. There's also a 4K version, but not everyone can play 4K content and apparently it doesn't include the extras (another 4K set is going to be released with the extras - and man do I really hate when they do that.)
I believe the extras on the blurays are over 30 hours long, so there's a lot to enjoy there. I found it all incredibly fascinating.
I ordered it off of Amazon... I know I'm contributing to a monopoly and all that, but it was only $20 and I'm a broke college student lol. Here is the link if you're interested.
I like this one. There's also the Thorin Oakenshield bookmark and pen. The key is a different shape because it's a pen but I thought this was cool. Wanted it for years and finally bought it a few months ago
The Nordic version seems to only have the subtitles of Nordic languages, which is really lame as it doesn't even include English subtitles. I'll probably buy the region-free 3D version from Amazon.co.uk, so I get way more languages to choose from.
