You can pull the switches out and disassemble the whole keyboard. I recommend getting a proper switch puller (something like this) and not use the puller they sent with the keyboard since it's junk and will only scratch the case. Grab the switch on the top/bottom and rock them out with a bit a force because it's can be hard pulling them out the first time.
If you also want to open the case, you will need a T4/T5 star screwdriver.

BTW if you need replacement optical switches, I have a whole bunch of silent reds from my old keyboard that I don't have any use for since they aren't compatible with the new model. Don't mind sending them if you pay for shipping.
Thanks so much for this info. I tried another USB-C cable I had and it worked! For anyone else having similar issues, this is the cable that worked for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X31FG6Z
HTH.
I bought some extended tip Usb-C cables so I could unplug and take the keyboard back and forth between home and work without having to pull the custom cable out.
These work for me and I've had them since October.
I bought some 'extended tip' USB-C cables for mine:

They're okay cables, a little pricy but not sure what else you can do.
They are reliable for me so far. I bought them the first part of October and I unplug and plug frequently as I bring my keyboard home from work.
I got my Knight Plus about a month ago and I have been using This soft shell case to drag the mainboard around. I don't need the numb pad at the office so I just leave it at my studio. I looked for a hardshell case but had no luck finding one. If you do come across a good option, please let me know.
also, if this is your first mechanical keyboard, I would highly recommend spending a little extra on a key switch tester from Amazon so you can know which switches to get. it actually makes a huge difference in your performance, typing style and overall satisfaction with the keyboard. Probably the biggest factor on satisfaction.
