> Oh and not having enough choices. I would love to learn how to code and create my own otome game where the player can type in their own answers whenever they want
They're called text adventures, though it's basically died off in favour of visual novels! But in text adventure games, you'd type something in of what you'd do. You could do very simple commands like move up/down/left/right and 'examine' objects in a room. You could talk to an NPC in a room, or try various commands to see if one would stick (I once tried to kiss a girl and she rejected my advances lol).
You can try out the engine yourself, it's called Adrift. It's pretty simple, I'm sure you could get the hang of it in a day or two!
>As with almost all of the otome games I have played; I wish that the MC wasn't so meek and would speak up. Stop hiding your feelings.
Have you tried out my otome game? You can choose to be fierce or kind. You can even tease them and kiss them first!
I never made a full game with it, but ADRIFT was a nice piece of software I played around with a decent bit. Easy to use with lots of tools, and a conmunity that shares user games with one another.
Blorb files are normally associated with Inform, which both Gargoyle and Zoom should be able to run.
However, I'm guessing that you're talking about Working Man and Let Me In, which are both ADRIFT 5 games that were packaged as blorb files. Since you can't use the exe versions of those games, you'll have to install ADRIFT 5 (which is available from http://www.adrift.co/download). The ADRIFT runner is supposed to work on Macs, but not being a Mac user I've never tested that.
Hope that helps.
Mhm. I like "The PK Girl". It is essentially a text-parser VN, where you type in commands to get things done. EG: "Search bike", "Punch guard", "Hide", ect. Unfortunately, the game was built for an old version of ADRIFT, so the music and some other features are broken.
Mind, it might be possible to convert the game module into a newer format and update the music files to be compatible. You just need the password, and I think you can get it by completing each girl's route.

Anyhow, I just like the text-parser gameplay because it offers a range of freedom. For all the user-friendliness GUI adventure games have, the ability to complete or miss side objectives tends to be limited.

If you only need a text only game look at http://textadventures.co.uk/quest, or http://www.adrift.co/cgi/adrift.cgi.
RenPy uses python, but you have simple DSL above it: "say", "show", "move" e.t.c. Game is readen as novel in this engine. And it is can port to Android/Ios also.
Hmm alright. Will look into that. Have you tried the blorb version. It should not get blocked as far as I know. You just need to install Adrift to run the file. Adrift 5.0 installer download
