IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS, there's an awesome and free app called aTimeLogger for Android and iOS that lets you track your life very easily. My dad has been using it for a while, and I picked it up two months ago. It's been really cool, and puts in perspective how much time you waste on random shit.
Protips: Take the time to really think out how your day goes, and add in an "Uncategorized" category, for misc stuff. At the end of each day/week, review what happened that day. Also, set the app to annoy you every 5 minutes you're not recording an activity, because you WILL forget, even after a while of using it.
Happy logging, data lovers! <3
Note: I am not affiliated with the app makers, I just love it a lot.
I used aTimeLogger2 for a long time. It's a time tracker that lets you create custom categories and log when you're doing them. It has list views for daily, weekly, and monthly summaries etc. as well as spreadsheet export capability. I definitely was a power user of this app for a long time so let me know if you have any questions!
I use this app: http://www.atimelogger.com/
I really like it. It has helped me identify how I spent my time and figure out how I wanted to spend my time better, if that makes sense. This app made me realize how much time I spent on my phone, browsing social media or reddit, etc. I knew I spent a lot of time, but seeing the numbers and the visual pie chart was more eye opening than the vague knowledge that I spend a lot of time on my phone. Hope this help!
Can someone more knowledgeable than I am tell me which one of these templates will be easier for someone with extremely limited knowledge of excel to use. Want to get into this, but am not able to tell what's easier/does more with the data.
Thanks!

Additional Option 3(aTimeLogger app):
As for time tracking, there's a neat app called aTimeLogger that lets you track what you're doing thoughout the day, and then you can view it as a pie chart or export the data as CSV or whatever, and see where exactly your time is going by day, week, or month. Apparently last week I spent a whole 20% of my time on "internet" - reddit, tumblr, facebook, repeat. :S
