Actually, you might be able to use Raised Events to do what you need: https://www.axure.com/support/reference/masters-raised-events
I'd forgotten about them. I'm not certain if it works with OnLoad, which is probably the event you'd need to use to have the DP show up in a particular state - but it's worth a try.
Let me know if it works!
My favorite tool is Axure and it does allow for embedding videos, gifs, etc.
Here's an article about how to do it: https://www.axure.com/blog/embedding-video-axure-rp/
On your website in that feedback chat on the bottom right corner, it asks if it's easy to read content in this dark colour scheme, but even if you answer no, you aren't asked for feedback on what could be improved/why it isn't easy.
I think the colours are good but I'd make the fonts a little bigger - like the description and tags.
For software, you've put if it's a subscription/ price but I think the platform would also be useful to see at a glance.
The footer is a big blank space at the moment. Maybe make it smaller if it doesn't have any content (for now?).
You could maybe add Axure RP in the prototyping or software category. It's quite pricey (PRO version = per user $29/per month subscription or $495 perpetual license) but I noticed it wasn't there. Here's another site (UXtools) showcasing/comparing software which has some you haven't mentioned, though I don't know how updated it is.
That's a few things I can think of at the moment. I've bookmarked your site and thanks for collecting all these resources together!
I don't think I'm your guy, but good luck!
Also, maybe check out a free trial of Axure or something similar to make a wireframe of whatever it is you're thinking about. Will help you flesh out your ideas and better demonstrate them to others.
Sketch is definitely the tool of the trade, from what I have heard.witnessed. Figma is getting a lot of use these days too. Photoshop is still used for high fidelity end product, when you actually need to edit photos. Sketch is made for web design, so it is faster and easir to use to create mockups.
Also, look into something like Axure to quickly create prototypes and showcase your workflow.
Something to ponder: a lot of smaller companies can't afford to get a UX guy who can only do UX. They would like you to be able to do some front-end work as well. If you pick up JavaScript you will be a much hotter commodity!
