The amazing SQL Complete plug-in comes with VS integration, but I prefer SSMS over VS for DB access, so I have never tried it in VS. All I can say is that the SSMS version of the plug-in is a life saver.
There is a free version available, which looks like it provides auto-complete...you should check it out --> https://www.devart.com/dbforge/sql/sqlcomplete/editions.html
SSMS + SQL Complete from dbForge:

it adds functionality to ssms..... use it once and you'll feel like ssms is broken when you're without it.
(also if you have sql server installed on the machine you're using ssms on, even if you connect to a remote sql server you'll have added gui functionality)
I think the main advantage of dbForge SQL Complete is Code Completion. The program predicts not only keywords and object names, but also code fragments, which simplifies and speeds up the developer's work. The smart filtering function makes the typing process quick and convenient. You can install sql complete free https://www.devart.com/dbforge/sql/sqlcomplete/ and see for yourself
You can try this: http://ssmsexecutor.codeplex.com/
Also, the Express (free) edition of SQL Complete supports this as well: https://www.devart.com/dbforge/sql/sqlcomplete/
IMX, however, "execute current statement" functionality causes more problems than it solves because it's trivial to execute the wrong statement by mistake. Forcing you to highlight exactly what you want to execute is a much better design.
