Bartender allows you to declutter and organize your menu bar.
PopClip is like a miniaturized version of Alfred.
Dropzone 3 is a action customizable drag and drop utility.
The actions appear in the menubar dropdown only when you have something in a shelf, or by right clicking the shelf itself.
Importing your own actions is as easy as saving an Automator script in Dropover's script folder. I currently use my Automator scripts with macos Quick Actions, so I'm hoping Dropover adds some actions that I'm not smart enough to write a script for, ala Dropzone.
I've never used iPhoto, but I did just recently started using Photos. If you don't mind an extra step, here's how I get around the stupid way it handles dragged files.
There's an app called Dropzone that lives in your menubar and lets you drag files to different spots on its palette to do different actions. To use it you would drag the photo to the Dropbar which is like a temporary holding area and then drag it from there to whatever app you want. Another option is to set your browser as one of the shortcuts in it and then you can drag from Photos to the browser icon in Dropzone and it'll open it.
I've discussed this here - I usually recommend that users buy the version direct from us, but this time maybe buy the Mac App Store version since it's currently on special (the Mac App Store version price tends to fluctuate a bit for marketing reasons) and if you forward me your iTunes invoice I'd be happy to send you a non-Mac App Store license if you want to switch to this version.
I reached out to Dragshare's support, and they said there's no way at the moment to change the directory where files are stored...
I know Dropzone supports this feature (and you can change the directory in the settings file), but I was hoping for an app that did only what I asked in my post.
