Regarding accountability/motivation: democratize whatever you're trying to improve. Lay it out all out there in a shared document, share it with your team, then schedule a standup and ask for feedback. Try some of your team's ideas -- you'll be motivated not to let them down, they'll feel that they impact your business more. Schedule the next standup to review the progress in a couple of weeks.
Next level is using a solution like Fider & assigning one of your staff as owners of gathering top voted feedback.
Regarding best practices -- join a peer group, pick successful peoples' brains. So many coaches are outdated & recycle their own crap from when they had an MSP years ago. Make friends with your peers, ask the smartest one if they can do a 60 min video call to talk shop, come with a list of well thought out questions, show genuine interest in what they're saying, and be a sponge. I've been on both sides of this call -- both sides get something out of it.
Hmm maybe something like Fider instead? That’s a feedback voting platform.
Although, I certainly wouldn’t use votes for bugs, bugs should be fixed whether everyone or no one cares about it.
