I can really appreciate the level of customization in this solution. Very useful for those that want to get under the hood and make something custom and beautiful. There's nothing better than being able to visualize this kind of data, especially when you're fully in control of what the end-product looks like.
For those looking for a less technical approach to dashboarding with PowerShell, I would recommend checking out freeboard.io and it's counterpart dweet.io. Shameless plug: Here's a very basic PowerShell Module I recently whipped up for interacting with Dweet's REST API.
This is great, and thank you very much for sharing. I love dashing because of how simple it is to create and maintain widgets, though I sometimes wish for a bit different look (more like freeboard.io).
I feel like it would be really beneficial for more dialogue about these quick-info HUDS here in /r/sysadmin. Maybe a subreddit for it, or perhaps just a bit more content coming from people like yourself who have these dashboards configured nicely.
I've been chewing on this for awhile now, too and have come across a couple different solutions. Grafana is awesome, but definitely requires a non-trivial amount of care/feeding. ;)
PRTG is also a great option, but sounds like it might simply be a component in the overall scenario (e.g., could monitor devices and feed or present data for display via some type of dashboard).
As to dashboards - Freeboard appears to be the most promising option that doesn't require a ton of manual manipulation or similar. Likely the route I'll go, first: http://freeboard.io/

We are using Freeboard to monitor the status of our services. Since we're not able to keep an eye on the Freeboard 24/7, we want to set up a monitor to let us know when one of the services fails.
