While I don’t know the technicalities of it, I can highly recommend imagify.io. I started using WP Rocket caching on all my websites and found that these partner really well. Imagify can also serve your images in WebP format.
The biggest dealbreaker for me was that they offer data packages besides a monthly subscription. I don’t have that many images to upload so usually the premium image optimization services are too expensive for my clients. Imagify allows me to buy e.g. 1 GB of image processing.
Maybe worth to check out!
Imagify is from the same people who make WP-Rocket and it can do all of that: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/does-imagify-support-aws-s3-offload/
It will even generate Webp images.
I signed up for Cloudfare but according to this: https://imagify.io/documentation/setup-webp-cdn-cloudflare/ I can't use the CDN on the free version. Am I misunderstanding that?
We use Imagify from the developers of WP Rocket and are really satisfied. We're on a paid plan (the free plan is limited at 25MB a month). It seems to do a much better job then other plugins we tried. They have a great before/after feature so you can see how much compression has effected the image, "revert to original", and a bulk optimizer. It also has an option to convert your images to webp and serve those instead of jpg/png.
Hi @Vision247 - Imagify.io is actually one of the plugins I tested last night. It conflicted with Smush, of which I am rather fond. I run optimization and lazy load through Smush (free). Will Shortpixel also conflict? I saw there was a credit limit with shortpixel, so I didn't try it yet.
