That’s fantastic, and a great detailed write-up!
Do you intend to freely license it? I would like to add it to the collection of free web services where 2D marble run (MIT licensed) already is. (You might have heard of it, it won the Mozilla Labs Game On competition.)
You could try ownCloud as a data platform. And Diaspora gets better and better.
For your other needs, check the collection of free & open source web applications.
That's the thing. By using shopping rewards and Facebook, your information is no longer in your hands. That's why I'm taking a closer look at Diaspora, which is a social network where you own your data. I think either you or someone you know runs a server, or "node," that stores data (password, username, photos, messages). Same thing with "Libre.fm." I think they use the same software as last.fm, but Libre.fm lets you store your own data. You kind of have to program using their APIs, but given a week of dedication you'd be up and running and in control of your "scrobbling." Many similar projects can be found at http://libreprojects.net/ Note that reddit makes the list!
Yeah, pretty cool! I just tried out git master and recommended it to a friend. Unfortunately my reddit, Launchpad, Diaspora and Identi.ca feeds don’t seem to work. Do you have an idea? My profile is at libreprojects.net/vanity.
What about the ability to add custom RSS/Atom feeds? That would be great for the more obscure sites. Also, I totally forgot asking for Wordpress support.
You should totally get a domain name and offer user accounts. All of the computing is done client-side (right?) so you could even use the space on TuxFamily for that. Vanity is a good alternative to about.me it seems.
Btw, I also saw that you use NearlyFreeSpeech.net – how is the service, can you recommend it?
(Just wanted to clarify that GitHub is not an open-source project management tool, it is proprietary. Gitorious is the free & open-source alternative to it.)
Regarding your original question: Maybe one of the Teamlab, Teambox, Ofuz or ClockingIT listed at http://libreprojects.net/#organization are useful to you.
I don’t know if it would be feasible to collaborate with Lugdulo’V but it would definitely benefit to have a big database / city support & mobile/desktop apps on one hand and a web application and API on the other.
All the best for it either way! I curate a collection of free & open-source web applications (which incidentally is also down at the moment because of server movement) and will add CityBikes once it’s running again.

Awesome! Sorry for the blindness. It’s added, let me know if you have a better ultra-short description for it than »physics puzzle«.
Nice, subscribed! You might be interested in Libre Projects where I collect exactly those services / their hosted & ready-to-use versions. More projects I am pondering to include are on the EtherPad.
Since the description of the subreddit pretty much fits what I want to achieve with Libre Projects, feel free to add a link to it.
I’m currently working on something like that at Libre Projects with a focus on web applications.
At the moment it’s only linked icons but I plan on expanding it with descriptions, opportunities for coders, translators, donations, etc.
You might want to check out the collection of free web services over at http://libreprojects.net
As a base for that, I also compiled a specific list of Google alternatives, further down this document (search for "Google"): https://jancborchardt.titanpad.com/libreprojects
