When I need a test image with specific size, I usually use picsum photos, it can be really helpful. If you use windows, you can put url directly into filename, so you can directly write "https://picsum.photos/width/height.png" and it will use random image from pexels. Really helpful.

I did this several days ago.
During the mock-up process in Web Dev, I frequently go to unsplash to get an image, download, copy to /images, and resize. This does it all for me:

I really like that you can get a blurred version of the photo. I'd never thought to do that before, but would be so helpful to non-verbally convey "This is not a final image - it's a temporary placeholder!" I may start doing that in print pieces, too.

One solution is to add a bit more width on your pseudo elements.

I don't know of a program to do specifically that (most users want to see the images they download on the screen), but it's definitely possible. A good source for random images could be Lorem Picsum.

I was really hoping to find something similar to https://picsum.photos/
So I don't have to worry about actually sourcing pics, plus "https://picsum.photos/1280/720/?random" randomly generates the image.
Although what you say sounds like it would be good to try.
Maybe I can have it pull from an imgur album instead of keeping them local. But I would still have to source a bunch of pictures and I would rather spend my time working on the code.
