Kinda off topic but this might be of interest to some:
Sysinternals Suite is nice and all, but it's kind of annoying digging around the folder looking for a utility you remember using once. Or just trying to guess what they do by the name.
Check out NirLauncher. It's by NirSoft, the same folks(I think it's actually just a single guy) behind a ton of other useful utilites.
NirLauncher is a GUI that let's you navigate all of the NirSoft utilities and provides descriptions, categories, advanced run options etc. It also supports adding other packages, like Sysinternals Suite, seen here.
I know I'm coming off as a salesman but it's just so damn useful.
I do not know about the wrapper, but the actual Tools are, you can get them outside of this Wrapper
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/default
and
both have been around for a very long time....
It's worth grabbing NirLauncher which organizes and provides descriptions/versions etc for each utility. There's also sysinternals3.nlp which lets you add all of the Sysinternals Suite utilities to the launcher.
You will most likely need to analyse your BSOD and find out what is malfunctioning.
Is your Win7 set to collect BSOD information? If yes how exactely is it configured?
Here is a rather good beginner guide on what to do about BSODs
I would recommend going for the NirLauncher to look into your BSOD.
I assume your Win7 has standard settings and will have written a (Mini)Dumps you can take a look at.
The NirSoft utility SmartSniff will do simple packet sniffing for you - it's very easy to use and is available free, along with a lot of other useful utilities from http://launcher.nirsoft.net/
Note if you do use it, you need to select the Decompress HTTP option in order to see the actual page data.
