Forget about opendrive or any other similar "fly by night" storage, they even say somewhere that the unlimited is really 10TBs and the general experiences say exactly that, just don't waste time. Gsuite is now Workspace and it's like $12-20 per month. It's one of the most used service around here (search the sub for it).

Shouldn't matter too much at all, either way. I think (without any data) that keeping them for a long time off (in good conditions, and don't bang them too much when you connect them for backup, etc.) might be SLIGHTLY better over the years than keeping them warm and spinning but either way they still last quite a lot.
