I think it would be cool if you had a feature like Peekier where it grabbed screenshots of the pages. Sometimes I will be searching for something and I won't remember much except for vaguely what the page looked like. Seems like it would be pretty easy to implement, too.
Go into your "about:config" and search "browser.urlbar" and from there you can customize it. You can see there is many way's it comes to it's conlusions, from a site you visted before or just something you typed it, so it's all going to depend on how it's set-up.
What you most likely ran into, is having your default search engine recommend/suggest based on the letter "C" which you can disable.
Search enigines I recommend are the "ixquick HTTPS version" (like searching google but behind a proxy). Then Qwant.com, another decent privacy search with multitple categories it branches off into that also features a light version.
An finally "https://peekier.com" that will actually lists all your search results by photo icons of the page that contained your matches, which then lets you enlrage the ones you want, preview and scroll through the page before you make the decision to visit the site in a self conatined tab, not to mention it's privacay based as well.
