Yes, If you are small and want free only then Hubspot is the best option. But If you are ok with the fewer amount then Salescamp.app and pipedrive.com both can be a good option. I am using the trial version of Salescamp and previously I was using Pipedrive. For the sales pipeline, Pipedrive is the greate choice. In my free trial of Salescamp, I have found its simplicity is great.
Do one thing before you even discuss CRM etc. Figure out a way to show to your dad how much potential revenue you are losing as a company due to the manual process, lost emails etc. If you can collect accurate metrics and show him real examples where you could have made more money, he may start paying attention.

So first get his attention. Once you have his attention, THEN talk about the solution which could be a CRM. Bonus if you can pull in 1 or 2 customer examples in the CRM and show him how the improved tracking can help keep an eye on the entire lifecycle of the customer, all in one place.

It is really really difficult to get non tech people to adopt a whole new technology and business process. I work with clients like that and it takes a lot of convincing. Btw, look at CRMs like close.com (we use it and it is good enough for sales stuff), pipedrive.com (heard good things about it) and many others that you can google of course.
What kind of business are you running? For example, if its a recruitment agency then Recruit CRM or if you are into sales, pipedrive.com and so on!

Here, check out Pipedrive. This referral link from Mixergy.com gives you two free months to try out the Pipedrive CRM, then it's only 12/mo after that for a single user (you can share the login with your team if there are multiple people would would access it).
