http://www.planetplanet.org/ is written in python and does http://planet.gnome.org/ for example.

It converts an OPML file to an rss aggregator which is displayed as a website.

No update since 2006 though.

While I love the cleverness and openness here, I dislike that you're essentially using open source on ALL proprietary services. The advantage of a VPS is that you control the hardware and don't have to use any proprietary software at all.

Also, it is preferable for devs to have their own blogs and then aggregate them using something like planet feed aggregator. Decentralization is best.
