All this reminds me of the documentary Word Wars I just watched yesterday on the competitive Scrabble scene. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_Wars Found a link to watch it here: http://www.popcornflix.com/word-wars/c1636d0d-d835-44f6-8bfe-b9177952bc03
There's also another competitive Scrabble documentary called Word Slingers about the Scrabble World Championship which Hasbro organizes with the top prize of $25k. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j5VM4GL8pg
And in both, we see that the competitive world isn't glamorous at all. Perhaps more obvious for Scrabble with his obvious lack of financial rewards, but I think its less obvious for Magic.
There's a movie with Chris Pratt called "Deep in the Valley" where he and a friend get sucked into another dimension where everything is like a porno. It's pretty funny and there's gratuitous nudity.
Edit: added link to popcornflix, where you can watch it for free. NSFW obviously
FUCK Hank Paulson. The CEO of Goldman Sachs turned Secretary of the Treasury--exactly the kind of bullshit revolving-door politics that let the banks and insurance companies cozy up so intimately with their regulatory bodies. Same goes for Larry Summers. Fuck him too.
Before tonight's debate, I encourage you all to watch the documentaries "The Flaw" and "Four Horsemen" for some inspiration. Then you'll understand why I'm so aggressively angry about all of this.
I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore.
Edit: links to documentaries

It's not specifically about keto, but it explains the basic concepts that make keto work. Most of the people interviewed are MDs and have both blogs and online lectures that are easy to find. Then follow /u/zafic's suggestions. Those are excellent resources.
For whoever reported this as 'illegal content' - I appreciate your diligence in looking for illegal content in this sub, however this is hosted on YouTube by a reputable movie company, PopcornFlix, that makes money from the ads they show during the movie. (and thus is not illegal content)
The company hosting this video on YouTube is PopcornFlix, their website is here
You can find their YouTube channel Here
See if he'll watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da1vvigy5tQ
It's a short talk, not a big lecture.
Then try Fat Head: http://www.popcornflix.com/fat-head/3ec45d3f-aa0c-427e-92be-a434e031fa63
It's not about keto or diabetes, but it explains how and why carbs can be harmful and fats can be healthy. It's a fairly lighthearted way to look at it.
If he doesn't want to listen, though, you can't make him. It's not your job to force him to see things your way. It's your job to love him and to offer him whatever help he'll accept.
Phil the alien. No one ever knows what I'm talking about when I mention it. It was sitting in a bin for $1 at hollywood video when that was still a thing and its now one of my favorite movies of all time. Seriously. Best 83 minutes of your life right here.
