Breaking up your product into one main thing then including the other part as a "free bonus" with purchase is not really free. It's widely used in marketing to increase consumers perceived value of a product and give that bonus more leeway because if its not up to your standard....well it was free /shrug.
Bonus points for making your freebie an unknown item with a lottery of values. Tapping into humans desire to gamble

Thats a pretty interesting article on this subject
Great questions, I'll try and answer them in the order sent.
First, a little more background is probably helpful. Have you heard of email finders from LinkedIn profiles? See this link here if not. These are all designed for B2B sales lead generation - what I am building is to offer a similar service but for students on a student's budget. This way they can reach out to key personnel, have a coffee chat, and get a referral to their dream position.
Handshake is different service all together - a community where jobs are posted and I can drop my resume, but it lacks that "stand out from the crowd"-ability, as I'm just another student amongst others.
CRM service - I had an excel sheet when I was recruiting where I would track everyone's names, emails, position, etc. of everyone I had identified that I should reach out to, along with my own notes (have I reached out, have I responded, how long ago did I reach out, etc.). This solution will automate all of that (except user notes, of course) so that nothing slips through the cracks, all my data is updated and easy to reference, and even get prodding to push things along (I.e. I get a push notification that it's been 2 weeks since I reached out to X person, maybe I try someone else? Or follow up?)
This service opens the door to that first communication. Say Xperson is a product manager at Google and you want to know more, you can get a verified email for X person and reach out to them directly. Sure, you can guess that person's email through trying a few different emails, or you can pay $0.10 and get a verified email immediately.
Long winded and it's late at night, but hope that makes sense
I did a quick search and found these services
How they work is they ask the sender to verify they are real once only and after that they block it. You have control after that to allow email you want.
Not exactly what you want, but I am watching this post for any other solutions.
Edit. Sorry. I am leaving this because it might help. But it was not what I was trying to show. This was what I was trying to say
