I use Android too, but iOS is my platform of choice because most apps are 'nicer' to use. JuiceSSH is sitting on my Nexus 7 for testing right now.
It too is a 'pay for' SSH client that is leaps and bounds better than the free garbage, and I'm 99.9% sure Android is the same way.
I use my iPad with prompt all the time. I haven't looked in to android SSH clients for a while (connectbot is pretty good, iirc), but if you can find something similar and you're a heavy terminal user, you should get a fair bit of use out of a nexus 7.
