It looks like you are trying to do "social listening". There are 2 very good indie products that you could use instead:
PM Alerts: A simple "when someone mentions [superman] on [reddit] alert me via [email]"
Syften: More complex queries that allow you really narrow down the alerts you get
Hope this helps! (No affiliation with these tools. I just love finding clever & overlooked MarTech apps).
If you want to join online conversations try syften.com. Otherwise for hashtag analysis, Instagram and in general a more high level overview see what others already recommended: Sprout Social, Brand24, Mention, and a dozen others.
It's going to cost you quite a bit to run those scrapers yourself though. I can't imagine someone prefering to do all that themselves than just spend $8.33/month.
Why don't you check out syften.com, and send me an email explaining your budget?
Hey,
If you're looking to participate in discussions and find leads check out the tool I'm working on: syften.com. You can also try Mention, but it's more suited for big brands that want to track sentiment for the hundereds of their brand mentions. Even if you don't end up using the tool I'm sure you'll enjoy the two week social monitoring email course.
PS. that's how I found your question :)
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/Digital_Manipulation) if you have any questions or concerns.
I have a tool that helps out with that, but it focuses on live results as opposed to historical analysis. I invite you to check it out: https://syften.com
You can monitor a list of topics and be notified immediately when someone posts about them.

I could also scrape some forums for you, maybe we can make a deal.
Google Alerts doesn't work anymore, not since 2012. I have an article about that here if you'd like to see the details: https://syften.com/blog/post/google_alerts_doesnt_work/
I'm yet to find a person who got value launching their moneymaking product on Product Hunt. You'll get traffic (probably 2000 page views) and several new signups, but I'll be surprised if you make any money. It seems that Product Hunt users are product tourists. Having said all that I believe that it can still be used for indirect marketing. I wrote a blog post about it here: https://syften.com/blog/post/what-to-launch-on-product-hunt/
Keep in mind that ever since 2012 Google Alerts doesn't work. For backlinks you'll probably be better served by ahrefs Alerts.
Google Alerts doesn't work since 2012, and a lot of the advice on the internet related to it fails to acknowledge that. It seems that Google's long term strategy is to earn money through ads in news. Google Reader (decomissioned around that same time) and Google Alerts got in the way of that strategy. Recently Google removed all mention of Alerts from Google News.
