What is your perspective on Tmaxsoft? They have had a flurry of success breaking into the North American mainframe market, which was long dominated by IBM, with openframe of their own. Is there something they are doing right that allows them to one up established American businesses and venture into something Europeans and Japanese have trouble getting into? Software seems to be a traditionally north American dominated field, I see Korea is a distant but almost the only other open alternative to software platforms outside of North america.
The success story of Hancom both domestically and abroad is also equally interesting, being the non American successful office suite provider in a world dominated by microsoft. They are posting record earnings year after year, selling office packages to Iran and Russian institutions, and going into cloud based services.
