I miss it every day too. Here's my Timehop from yesterday. Moments before the servers went offline.
I use TimeHop for a similar thing - you link your Foursquare, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. and it gives you your feed for 1 year ago, 2 years ago, 3 years ago, etc. on that day. My Foursquare goes back more than 5 years, it's pretty cool to see what I was doing back then all plotted out like that, with photos.
Technology, helping you be nostalgic every morning while you poop.
I too get weird performance on Swarm over 3G. Sometimes it takes ages to start working, sometimes it's instant.
While it's lovely you've assumed how my dog plays with the disc, just wanted to let you know you're off base. Our dog is a corgi and my husband drives the disc long distance and he usually is too slow to catch it. His main goal is to take it and try to bury it, which is why the dog discs don't hold up. Good luck on your future unhelpful comments fellow redditor. http://timehop.com/c/1.ZnV2Ojc1NTQ4NjQ3MzkwNUl37Ky-83K1536VilHJpfQ99nJVnGYvG1-BbnkYY4xwypj-KPHEdkxj9WAvuD3xhA
This might be a better place for my question.
Anyone know if there's a decent WP alternative to TimeHop?
Or if one could be developed?
Edit to include some bg info:
TimeHop is an app to look back through social networks to see what you were doing/posting x years ago today.
If you're into reverse engineering, I'd love to see a clone of the iOS app "Timehop" for Windows Phone :)
Furthermore, I'd love to have a great Goodreads client - but as a dev I would consider the API to be not dev-friendly. There are some apps, but it's not fun to use them. Kind of buggy and not very polished.
Last, there's Toggl, a time-tracking tool I use. They have open sourced their Android and iOS apps and use C# with Xamarin for their business logic, so it shouldn't be too hard to build an app for it.
If I just had more time by myself... ;)
The idea is pretty cool, especially now that people have been on social media for long stretches. You might want to check out Timehop, though -- they do pretty much this exact thing with a few less features, but it seems like they've been popular for a few years now.
It's an app that sends you a message each morning of posts you made 1, 2, 3, etc years ago on your social media. It's pretty cool - I love opening the timehop message every day.
What I mean is that I put a FB post saying something like "I only just found out that Patrick lives under a rock.. and he's stupid... it all makes sense" after having seen a page on reddit saying the same thing. That was 2 years ago to the day.
If you didn't timehop, then it's amazing coincidence that you've posted something 2 years ago to the day that someone else got to the front page!
