Transmit is probably the best FTP/SFTP client out there for Mac. It works buttery smooth and has wonderful features I couldn't live without as a web dev now. Mounting SFTP folders as drives is a wonderful thing.
for maintaining a a cloud backup, Backblaze
for cloud based storage, BackblazeB2. needs a front end, I like Transmit.
and it looks like they have an iOS app.
This is what I use for FTP/SFTP:

It's $34 and you can download a full-featured 14-day free trial on their website.
I've been a happy customer for years. Cyberduck is the best free option.
Backblaze offers a simple storage product too (B2). And there is also Box.com which would be good functionally but really isnt meant for large media storage.
additionally you might want to look at how a program like Transmit would let you interact with that any of these cloud services.
Dropbox has become obnoxious and intrusive, I would not recommend them to anyone.
I've used both, and while DC is nice, I honestly don't think it comes anywhere near Forklift, not to mention that it feels clumsy on macOS compared to a native tool.
Forklift 3 is an awesome application chock full of features that I'm honestly surprised is as cheap as it is.
But, if you're exploring for something "more" than the Finder and haven't settled on a solution, Double Commander is worth checking out. But depending on your uses, you may be much happier with something like Forklift or Transmit (although I'd say Forklift falls more into the "Finder replacement" category than Transmit does).
Makes sense with regard to the models - thanks for the info! I guess your point about feature JPEGs is a good comparison - as your tool would be primarily used for larger materials in any case.
As /u/schrik said it's probably a bit hard on a mobile processor, but to be honest I'd probably just disable this on mobile - seems like a much more desktop/tablet appropriate presentation tool.
Probably easiest thing re: licenses is just to lookup something else that uses the same license structure you use? Lots of tools that are free for personal, tiny bit paid for commercial. I use Statamic, Fancybox & Mmenu which all run this way I believe.
In terms of my free orbiting dream - I found EXACTLY what would be great in a perfect world on the Panic site here: https://www.panic.com/transmit/ (ie. freely spinning / orbiting, but grabbable)
I am looking to do a project on self-hosted software, so I don't have any specific industry in mind, I just need a bunch of names to research on in fact. It is just a theoretical piece so anything that has documentation for AWS or Azure or Google should be good get started with. Like MSP360 has supported cloud storage options, so something along those lines. I have already found a few in the area of storage. https://www.panic.com/transmit/ like this as well
So if you know any other that are storage related or even otherwise.
I hope this helped, I am really new to the tech industry!
From what you describe, it sounds like you need a simple way for non-technical teams to use S3 without the CLI.
Options:
I personally use Transmit as a nice, simple S3 GUI but it is Mac only.
You may also be to use S3s new SFTP service instead.
On a separate note, you can run a serverless function to process new files being added to your bucket.
OSX by default has ssh/scp built in, but you may be interested in something like this: https://www.panic.com/transmit/
For scripting, OSX has several options built in:
