I'm currently going with Inoreader, which I was introduced to around the time I became aware of CommaFeed. I've been very happy with it as my web-only rss reader of choice. After using both Inoreader and Commafeed for a few weeks, Inoreader has been the clear favorite (commafeed tends to choke on large amounts of content and its UI tends leave much to be desired). Another candidate might be Yoleo, but I haven't gotten around to trying it since it only imports from Google Reader without an option to import OPML files (I'm sure this will change soon and I'll check it out when it does).
Inoreader and Yoleo were discussed/endorsed in the hacker news and metafilter circles, but I've rarely heard any mention of either one of them here on reddit. Not sure why that is.
edit: CommaFeed's issues with stalling on excessive articles appears to have been resolved. And I'm currently trying out g2reader, which looks good so far.
