Not really a surprise since all the rest of their applications offer subscription based premium features, tho I feel this app isn’t worth more than a $2.99 one time AppStore fee. The AdGuard Pro version won’t be getting any additional updates but it’s stable enough to buy for a one fee of $1.99 with added system wide adblocking. if you really want to purchase their full featured products with additional desktop support grab an AdGuard Premium license on Stacksocial and save some cash.
But what I really recommend people do is check out DNSCloak which has basically all the AdGuard Pro features but for free, altho there will probably be a learning curve for a novice user to really grasp all the features… there’s also Disconnect Pro SmartVPN that offers a free portion system wide ad/tracking type of firewall with a simplified UI and the option to encrypt DNS.

Privacy Pro is a full featured VPN meaning it connects to the SmartVPN server. No on device scanning and host file not supported. And it does not block ads. Only trackers.
AdGuard Pro is a DNS Changer, Host file, On device scanning, ads and tracker blocker in one app. AdGuard Pro is more flexible and it blocks ads PLUS trackers - system wide. Its not a VPN.
I have both. But nothing compares to AdGuard Pro.
By the way, they will be releasing AdGuard 3.0 (Non Pro). Relatively the same as AdGuard Pro minus the Host file support and system wide adblocker ( if you configure AdGuard DNS, its system wide ).
From that page:
We have now received reports that the new Netflix app works with our Netflix region picker when using the new SmartVPN service.
Can I ask you to read the following links about setting this up, and if you can let us know if this works for you as well please?
You can also use apps like Privacy Pro SmartVPN that make use of the VPN feature to block apps. Basically as I understand it, they loopback DNS requests into your phone itself via local host, and the app then blocks the ads and trackers there. I’ve tried tapping the network to see what else is going on, and it doesn’t appear that they actually connect to their own servers to send your data through - it’s like having pihole on your phone.
I can’t speak for the other apps, but Privacy Pro is made by Disconnect, who have a pretty good track record and are the ones who designed Firefox’s Tracker Protection.
I have it. Not sure if really help. I bought it when it launches for $35, bought their add on tool box for $10, and NOW it’s free with subscription! (i thrown away money for this! So not really happy when they decided to be free with subscription! Lol)
i use AdGuard instead that blocks both trackers and ads. I’m using DNSCrypt and the AdGuard DNS. Much better.
Privacy Pro sends your data somewhere like a VPN. I believe they are using a third party SmartVPN while AdGuard uses their own DNS.
I’m using AdGuard Pro. There is an upcoming version 3.0 that is good as well. And it’s way cheaper.
Thanks for the prompt response. Here is my basic setup. I have a Win2008 server running in my office with multiple workstations connected to it. It is acting as my DHCP server as well. My Draytek router is connected to it and I'm currently using the built in VPN functionality (PPTP) which works fine for being able to access files while I'm away. However, as I mentioned, it is slow and I cannot get my iPhone to connect. I have checked and double checked the settings on my phone and they are correct. But it fails to authenticate for some reason. I should not that on my laptop, I am using SmartVPN client to connect.
The setup is going to be used to connect to the office network when traveling. Additionally, we should be able to access the internet from the network.
Of course, as I said, I currently have a semi-functioning VPN, but I'd like something faster and more reliable.
If you are on iPhone you can use disconnect’s privacy app. It is funky to use but blocks a lot of things on your phone. It is free to use but the pass through is a bit hidden.
EDIT: I should also note this works on the Warframe fandom iOS app itself. No ads or hidden items.
Privacy Pro SmartVPN by Disconnect
My box runs on Android so I was able to connect to a VPN using these settings: Unlocator is a DNS switcher but they also have a SmartVPN option once you log into the account online.
Its My Tweaks List:
LockHTML4(I Use Cataracs Theme for Lockscreen)
Anemone (I Use Biscuit Theme)
I also use smartdnsproxy and It works reasonable good from my PC but I can't get work in my chromecast (I can use send tab but it's not the same). I have some issues with DNS Server (proxy detected in the middle of some episodes) and SmartVPN it's not working
Oh, sorry i forgot to mention my installed tweaks list:
Apple File Conduit "2"
Ext3nder (cydia extender from julioverne)
I See Stars III
Safe Alarm 3
TetherMe for ios 10
For starters, I recommend Privacy Pro as a VPN. It blocks various trackers and such.
Then, I’d get Firefox Focus. It’s big on privacy, and should block quite a few ads. I don’t think you can have multiple tabs, though.
Firefox Focus: Privacy browser by Mozilla
Privacy Pro SmartVPN by Disconnect
Blocks apps system wide collecting your phone's data without your permission and in turn increasing your overall internet speed.

Another very useful app.
I give up with VPN. Hola is cool for many sites but I tried HMA, SmartVPN, and some othet deals from botnet, but majority ip are like blacklisted by sites like Hackforums, botnet etc. The fuck? How are these know im using proxy. Even my own internet provider "YesUP" is
blacklisted. The only way I can access is by my phone data.
edit: I still use smartvpn for my samsung tv. If anyone is using the Canadian version of smart hub, than your missing out tons of cool apps. I currently use UK with vpn to access few of my country apps.
I don't use it for that purpose, so I couldn't say. But they do offer a 7 day trial with no credit card due at sign up. You can sign up at and try their SmartVPN feature.
