For a good one, yes. For one that is perfectly good for this purpose, no. My suggestion would be SoftEther, it's really simple to use.
Just install and run it, double click "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers" and select one of the East Asian or North American ones. Then you just start Origin and it should download the game, if you haven't already preloaded using the same method. While the game is downloading, you can (without even pausing the download) disconnect from the VPN so you get your ordinary download speed. Then, you may have to close Origin and login through the VPN again for the game to unlock, not completely sure about that, and finally just disconnect the VPN (or simply exit the program) and click Play!
As long as you keep Origin running your game will stay unlocked, but if you log out for some reason, just enable the VPN in the same manner before launching Origin again.
It would honestly be no trouble, I love helping people out, but I understand. If you want to try it out yourself, search up "Soft Ethernet VPN Gate", and see if you can figure things out from there. Alternatively, Tunnelbear has a monthly data limit of 1.5gb (effectively) but is much much easier to set up.
Best of luck.
I use Softether VPN with the VPN Gate plugin
i'm using , it's free, just start it, click VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers and choose a korean one. If the TCP protocol fails use UDP. Just tried it and it says unlocks 20.3 16:00 CET. Make sure origin isn't running before you connect the vpn.
Hey. I managed to download it.
I used "VPN Gate List" and "OpenVPN Connect" apps. VPN Gate List downloads VPN profiles to the OpenVPN (use Canadian VPN).
I then downloaded "Apk Downloader" and searched for "Fifa 15 Ultimate Team".
Download works but I can't install because my phone is crap.
Hope this helps.
Please dont use tor for these things. Get a simple vpn setup. Tor is highly useful for censored journalists and people doing actual good. Let's not waste the tor bandwidth looking for pirated Netflix downloads. If possible try to run a Tor node and donate bandwidth if possible.
Instead look into Softether VPN (with VPN Gate plugin). It's free and has tonnes of servers everywhere.
Use VPN Gate Client Plug in with SoftEther VPN Client
Choose a canadian IP or any other where it'll activate.
Launch UPlay, enter the key and activate it.
If it's activated, it's done! Disconnect the VPN and exit the software. You can run the game on your own IP once activated.
Nothing will happen unless you do something stupid. (buying drugs, cp, etc) Government only monitors the serious parts of the deep web, they dont care about the minor things. You will need a vpn to go to most dw sites. Many are hosted on tors onion links, and tor acts as a vpn make sure to get ublock origin and block ALL 1st and 3rd party scripts and items. Only allow scripts if it is required to run the site and you trust the site! If you do this, you wont need another vpn other than tor...However there is obviously dw that exists outside of tor, use NordVPN, BolehVPN, IVPN, ExpressVPN, or VPN Gate to access those sites safely, and use ublock method. DO NOT USE WIND SCRIBE, CYBERGHOST, OR TUNNEL BEAR! Also, scan program DLs with virustotal! If a file has more than 5 defections, dont trust it!!! Sorry for a large ass essay lol, DM Qs.
I've used SoftEtherVPN Gate Client if you don't need a 'good' service. Sometimes the servers there does a better job than some premium services, but because it's community ran, it's not always guaranteed.

It's also free, so that's always good for scenarios where you don't want to pay for it, and you just need it temporarily
If the VPN provider offers different protocols, try that. L2TP / IPsec seems to get less blocking than OpenVPN. SoftEther is new, but it gets moderate blocking. Old fashioned proxy servers grt blocked too.
Your VPN provider should have servers on frrsh IP addresses and use some kind of obfuscation to evade China's golden shield. I use VPN Gate on my China Mobile service, and have to always use servers less than an hour old.
The GFW is crafty. It is programmed to rigorously inspect data going to Japan, South Korea, and the USA. Even brand new servers there are blocked. New servers in France or Belgium work for an hour before being blocked.
You must be tenacious to beat the GFW.
No, I haven't tried Tor with bridges yet, I tried to implement them into my Tor program but I couldn't fully comprehend the idea. Plus, as many of you great Reddit community had already suggested many options to me, I tried to spread my time (and really slow download speed) between other options equally. I couldn't get ProtonVPN to connect(the connection was getting timed out), and I'm nearly 100% sure that it is blocked in my country. SoftEther VPN using VPN Gate public servers worked like a charm! Even if i need to wait like 60 seconds to download 7mb of data. I'm very grateful that you spared the time to answer my question.
1: , during installation choose client and NOT admin tools. When the program has started double-click on VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers, accept the notice and a list of vpns shows up, pick a country and click on Connect to the VPN server.
2: , download the client and use the trial account details on the right side of the site. The passwords change often so check back if you can't login. Users with same IP address can use these accounts 3 times per day. Online time for each free trial VPN connection is limited to 20 minutes. When the time limit is reached, please wait for 5 minutes to reconnect
Download and install this and connect. Start up steam again and it should be unlocked. After starting the game you can disconnect from the VPN.
Credit to /u/Filleted for his post on the VPN client,
I'd suggest SoftEther VPN + VPN Gate addon. Its free, works fine, has multiple servers and is fairly fast. Also safe and not profit motivated as it is made by the University of Tsukbaka in Japan, specifically for situations like ours in Burma.
\
If your government always intercepts your communications, like some countries, it can be. Could improve your Privacy and made it no see. You know, for example, CloudFlare is not friendly towards Tor and always "torture" me with Capchas. So what's the point? You can use VPN Gate's free VPNs or make another free ProtonVPN account for the same outcome but with no "torture."
You technically can run a VPN under Tor by some OpenVPN settings (Socks5) if you want but it will be only TCP because Tor doesn't fully support UDP, therefore if you use it to drop down your ping and play games as I do, it would be a no way to use. ProtonVPN is fuster but no P2P. Tor is slower and no P2P with those capchas, however, more Private, I think. Both? Maybe okay for you.
Sure. I'm happy to share the results of my research. I'm glad others are going to try the VPN thing, too!
BTW, I've been on VPN Gate trying a bunch of their servers, and I get as high as 20 Mbps, but most times I'm around 4-6. Just got to try different connections and see. They have dozens of available VPNs. And they're all free.
Let's hope Steam doesn't block them!
Just use VPN Gate Viewer from any android device (or chromebook that supports android) coupled with OpenVPN. Each time you go to view the show, import the CSV from VPN Gate Viewer to get an updated VPN from Japan and picking the one that has the highest bandwidth. Very easy to do and you don't have to deal with setting up and changing a VPN on your router.
Try VPN Gate project
If you use Windows you can simply download Softether Client with VPN Gate plugin from that page, and use it to connect to any VPN server of the project in many countries.
Otherwise, many VPN Gate servers support L2TP/OpenVPN, which can be connected to via conventional means, click "List" to get connection info.

I used to use Steganos. There's a monthly traffic limit and a small number of servers in different countries (only about 5 or 6 I think), but the connection is always fast and stable. In comparison, I now use VPN Gate (a free University of Tsukuba project) which has no traffic limit and has servers in many, many countries; however, the connection can be unreliable.
For anyone having this problem:
I recommend SoftEtherVPN. It’s free and works every time. Make sure to download the VPN Gate Client with a plugin. Choose from the add relay servers connection without “public” in the name and you are good to go. I suggest line speed >100 for smooth streaming. Hope this helps
"SoftEther VPN is a VPN suite. You can make your own private VPN by using SoftEther VPN."

"VPN Gate Project is to develop and distribute VPN Gate software which is a plug-in module for SoftEther VPN."

From: What is different between SoftEther VPN and VPN Gate?
SoftEther is just VPN software, it won't do anything unless you connect to somewhere to VPN your traffic through.
I think you meant the VPN Gate service. In which case no, not any good. They already tell you that they store activity logs of traffic sent through them and that's a big no if you want to torrent.
Search /r/VPNTorrents, it has been discussed in earlier posts.
Does free VPN Gate work? Probably not but you can give it a try. It is by the National University of Tsukuba. However, I should warn you that they are not as reliable as a paid one, a server run by another user like you and me, though. Many people do try to find the same and it could get blocked because of. Netflix did rise its prices recently and I, a little bit, can't understand from outside like why can't you get a cheap VPS from Canada, for example, in order to watch.
Did they even read the thread in question? The "issue" is resolved from what I read.
A tl;dr of it is:
There was no malware, the user was confused. The user's anti-virus flagged a connection to a VPN Gate server (their free volunteer VPN service, kinda like tor).
There are tons of relay servers. You don't need to know someone, they are publicly available on a volunteer basis only.

Just make sure to download the softether client with VPN Gate Academic Plugin from Tsukuba University in Japan so that you can connect to all the relays. It's freaking awesome :)
To anyone that want a quick VPN Setup, you can use VPN Gate #windows
All you need to do is click "VPN Gate Academic Project" then pick UK server from the ones in the list.
Some paid VPN services like PIA have that option built in their own app. Can config that when choosen app(s) start, PIA disables VPN while using that/those app(s).
Don't know about free VPN services with their apps supporting that. Free VPN services are always spyware selling your device id combined wih internet history to governments and advertising companies. Perhaps some of the free VPN servers via VPN Gate (also in app OpenVPN Servers) can be trusted, but I would not bet on it. And don't think OpenVPN for Android and OpenVPN Connect can white/blacklist apps using VPN like in PIA.
But would love to hear if I am wrong or other options.
What is "DC" in this context?
You could use the Tor browser to hide your IP from websites
You could also connect through one of the free VPN servers that participate in the VPN Gate project but you have to trust that the volunteers that offer their server will not intrude on your privacy.
has a pretty good tutorial that isn't too long.
The steps are easy to follow and I can confirm it's working.
This is also a really good English speaking guild to join when you get playing.
гиракон-Server-Hieron-Faction/?postID=35887#post35887
I'm Eyrin, look for me when you're in game.
Also; the video tutorial doesn't say, but you only need the VPN to launch the game, once the splash screen starts immediately disconnect. The anti-hacking software Xigncode3 has trouble, and may or may not completely load while your VPN is active. I have to disconnect every time for the game to open completely.
If VPN Gate does not work, you can also try Cyberghost (this the current VPN that I use with the Ukraine connection.)
So lets take for e.g. FlyVPN that offers trial (free) usage and paid membership. They allow / make it easy for 3rd party to break into encrypted point to point connection so they can download some bestiality and child porn, all this because free trial?
With VPN Gate there may be increased security risk because it's controlled study / program by Japanese University instead of ran business for monetary gain. Even then 3rd party would need break your connection specific encryption before injecting his own shit into data stream.
You download Softether VPN from the internet, you open it and click "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers". You choose one of the Servers (e.g. Korea) and click "Connect to the VPN Server". When the connection is established, you start Origin and play the game! After you started the game you can disconnect your VPN.
Softether VPN btw. is a non-profit program developed by some Japanese University. They don't have a Singapore server right now, but Korea should be the same time of release.
I tried contributing to 2ch's "Chat in English" thread, but 2ch bans foreign IPs. I had to use one of those VPN Gate servers offered by Tsukubadai, so I could get a Japanese IP.
Before I heard about Kenmo/NewSokuR, I heard that most J-lefties hung out on Twitter. It's anonymous and you can say a lot in Japanese with only 140 characters.
Download SoftEther VPN. Install. Start it. Double-click "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers", pick some Australian server. Wait. Start Steam. Click Play. Wait for the game to unpack. Play.
Using a VPN is really not nuclear science, with VPN Gate it is honestly as simple as 2x double clicks.
But yes, I completely agree with you, this incredible game is being killed in the way they are releasing it.
F2P is the standard model for MMOs, even Guild Wars 2 went F2P.
There are guides out there. Here's a basic one.
Basically, you double click "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers," find a New Zealand VPN, and double-click that VPN. You'll be prompted for an option that's recommended, click OK, and then you'll be connected. When you're connected, you're well and truly connected, and the only thing you need to do then is run Steam and unlock Fallout 4.
I can't even get past the VPN portion. I've port forwarded all the recommended ports that I could find (80, 443, 500, 4500, 52000~52999) and nothing seems to work. I've whitelisted the application in my windows firewall, tried turning it off and running it, all to no avail. I have my PC as a static IP since I port forward other games/apps too.
It feels like it's some issue on my end (Error 2 in Softether) because as soon as I try to connect any (not just Japan) VPN through the VPN Gate plugin it it instantly spits out the Error 2 cannot connect. The UDP method takes longer, but after about 30-90sec it gives the same error without fail. I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this issue, but I haven't been able to find anybody else having the same problem with DDO.
If anybody has some thoughts on the matter I'd greatly appreciate it!
Yes, it is. To make it go quicker download VPN client + gate client plugin at this website .
then open the VPN Gate public VPN relay servers and look for the highest MB/s korean server connect to. then your network will restart, restart the launcher and your download speed should be 10 faster.
if it isn't 10x faster then go to your cmd console and type ipconfig /release hit enter wait till it's done then ipconfig /renew your network should restart again and try running launcher again.
Once you're done with the update remember to set back the internet protocol version 4 DNS adressess and to update your patch to 320.
Have you tried SoftEther and the VPN Gate project? It's by the University of Tsukuba, all VPN nodes run on user machines, typically on normal home connections and not on dedicated servers. It's not the fastest or most stable (depending on what node you connect to) but it's free and very few of the nodes involved ever make their way on to blacklists. Try it out if you like, I've used it for most of my location- or IP-sensitive work, and had great results. Good luck!
Here is the correct answer to the OP: You MUST use vpn software to connect to the SEA versions (There are actually 2 different ones, playpark's has an english client and there's another one that only supports 2 of the SEA regions). The easiest (quickest) way to download the game is to use vpn to get the torrent, load the torrent, drop vpn, download the game/install the game (~15gb).
Then when you want to play, you will have to connect to the vpn again. I'm personally using SoftEther's VPN Gate, but I've noticed more and more people stating you can get a free VPN from to play with as well. The point of the VPN is so that it looks like you're connecting from a supported country (in actuality you are indirectly if you use VPN) so they don't block the connection. Be aware though that you must be careful to choose good VPN servers to connect to (Higher Mbps + lower ping) or you will be lagging like crazy.
Also, VPN Gate sometimes drops connection like crazy.
I used this VPN here and downloaded "SoftEther VPN Client + VPN Gate Client Plug-in"
The method that worked for me was:
1) Log into the Origin client without the VPN
2) Switch to Offline mode via the menu
3) Connect to Thailand VPN
4) Go back to online mode
5) Go to the store inside of the client to make sure it's correctly putting you in the correct location
6) Go back to your library and hit refresh
Funny coincidence but the VPN Gate free VPN service I linked to just got covered on TorrentFreak here:
I don't have a clue about how Proton works, So I can't comment on that. I have a VPN Gateway set up (NORDVPN). I also have a NAT rule that intercepts any DNS traffic from my VPN Alias and redirects it to the Nord DNS servers. The associated firewall rule (Line 3) then directs this traffic to the NORDVPN gateway. Line 4 is not associated with a NAT rule, and just redirects all the other traffic from the alias to the VPN Gateway.
If no one else responds I can get my friend to download it (my VPN provider is also blocked, just checked) but that would probably take forever to transfer. just PM me if you wanna pick this option.
You may be able to find a UK VPN on VPN Gate. There usually aren't the best in terms of speed but they're community run so at least it wouldn't be blocked.
Soft Ether VPN Gate, free public utility from the university of Tsukuba, Japan. While it may not be the best VPN to be fully anonymous or try to be some kind of actual criminal, it has tons of servers in various regions to easily (and freely) get around regionlocks for things like Steam servers.
I actually use a free vpn service that works on netflix, funimation and that kind of stuff. It's called VPN Gate. You don't get to choose what country you're gonna connect to, you can only connect to the servers that are available (mostly from Japan, but you can find some USA servers and other countries sometimes) but it works perfectly
Have you used a japanese VPN, or a "Japanese" VPN? Some VPN providers will tell you they are using a japanese one, while in reality having a server based in south korea or something similar. The servers in VPN Gate work for sure, so check with that if nothing else.
As for the "white screen", depending on the quality of the VPN you use things might take a while to load. At times it takes me 2-3 minutes to get over the white screen and start loading the game, by example.
While you have your VPN on, hit F12 on your browser to open the console, go to the network tab, and see if you are getting 403 errors, or just waiting for stuff to load.
Alternatively, just check a couple posts below for someone who asked the same.

free open-source VPN. hit the top download link. once installed, click "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers" and go to one from the UK. Then try the youtube link again. You're welcome.
VPN Gate Connector seems to work for me. You might have scroll through the connection options because the first Japanese connections don't always work. Only downside is that it berates you with ads but you can get out of them with the back arrow.
Yes, download it here (or you'll miss the VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers). This VPN is working well, but at the moment i have some troubles downloading patches from the game client so i can't say much about this vpn while playing the game.

link for the vpn

Type of VPN protocols (SSL-VPN, L2TP, OpenVPN or SSTP)
VPN Client software-name, version and id (If available)
Number of packets and bytes during a VPN connection, and debug information of communication errors

Trying to play from Fukuoka, what vpn (I've tried Softether/VPN Gate and Tunnelbear) are you using and what exact order are you opening the nexon launcher and connecting to vpn? I've tried:
Connecting to VPN, then opening NXL, then logging in. It shows as "not available" in NXL.
Opening NXL, logging in, then connecting to VPN. Same result.
Opening NXL, connecting to VPN, then logging in. Same result.
Tried this through Steam and was able to download the game, but haven't been able to get farther than that. I think that even with the game downloaded through Steam I would still have to have it downloaded through NXL to have it show up properly.
TL;DR I can't get NXL to THINK that I'm in the proper region.
You opened the offers and it said there were no?
Are you sure you worked with both VPN Gate AND OpenVPN?
Normally you go into VPN Gate and select a VPN, then it will open it into OpenVPN and that works. I tried using just VPN apps and then it won't work for me either.
Hope it works! ;)
VPN Gate Overview
VPN Gate Academic Experiment Project is an online service as an academic research at Graduate School of University of Tsukuba, Japan. The purpose of this research is to expand the knowledge of "Global Distributed Public VPN Relay Servers" .
Why VPN Gate?
You can take these advantages by using VPN Gate:
You can get through the government's firewall to browse restricted web sites (e.g. YouTube).
You can disguise your IP address to hide your identity while surfing the Internet.
You can protect yourself by utilizing its strong encryption while using public Wi-Fi.
Unlike traditional VPN services, VPN Gate can get through most firewalls.
VPN Gate is free of charge. Not a single registration is required.
If you're playing on PC, you can set up a workaround for the VPN requirement so that you can turn off the VPN once you get to the character selection screen or when you get into the game so that the game doesn't boot you for your IP address (which just sends you back to the title screen if you made it that far).
The VPN I personally have been using is SoftEther's VPN Gate which not only is free, but is very functional and straightforward for me as you can quickly select a Japanese proxy and expect it to work. If it didn't, you can easily switch to other proxies in mere clicks.
When a MitM program for HTTPS such as sslstrip
is used, it will present a self-signed certificate instead of the website's legitimate certificate. If you were to go through with the SSL connection, then information to/from your browser would be in plaintext on the MitM host for observation/injection, and then repackaged in a second connection to the site that you wanted. The connection would be encrypted against a fourth party only snooping using Wireshark or similar, but someone would still be able to see your data before the server.
Now that I'm able to Google the name VPN Gate (in hindsight, looking for 'public volunteer VPN' also pointed me to them), the project sounds well intentioned from a skim. However, there doesn't seem to be any process to vet volunteers before they go online. So each server would lack any guarantee from VPNGate before going online and soliciting sessions.
You must download this: . It's SoftEther VPN with the servers list ("VPN Gate Client Plugin"). And thanks to SetYourGuitarsToKill for the software! Slow, but it worked where others failed. :)
Not at the moment, but see if you can Google up VPN Gate and follow the instructions there. They're not too complicated. You download a client and set it up according to the instructions there and pick a Japanese VPN to connect to. You should be up and running in a few minutes.
A proxy would be a little easier since you can just do that through your browser settings (Google that, too) but they're a lot slower.
At that kind of price point you'd be better off paying a Canadian friend to get a second line from their ISP ($50/mo) and sending them a Raspberry Pi 3 to run your VPN off ($50 worth of parts). $1k setup and $300/mo? Yeesh. SoftEther and its companion software VPN Gate is free, give that a look.

Just choose a server and paste the ip basically
All VPN Gate Puplic Relay Servers KEEP LOGS.
If you just plan to use the client itself along with configs etc from a paid NO LOG VPN service i would say yes thats "safe".
I use SoftEther VPN with the VPN Gate plugin to access Japanese Netflix from the US for free, there are a few US servers as well. It might be worth checking out before shelling out some dough
Sorry, it's been I long time since I've used Softether and I realise now that link probably won't be very useful on its own. You'll need something like VPNgate, which is what I used before. Click on VPN Gate Public VPN servers once it's installed and you should get a list of servers in different locations you can connect to.
South Korea had the earliest access to DAI IIRC, although I can't find any info on whether the date for North America applies to the rest of the world outside of europe or not (there are also some US based vpn addresses anyway).
I used Softether VPN with VPN Gate plugin, it's free for educational purposes, and what better education than learning about Andromeda Galaxy eh? It also has huge list of fast S.Korean nodes.
I'm downloading the newest version to check it out, but I wanted to just go thru a couple things that might help you.
Did you double check to make sure you have the SoftEther VPN Client and not anything else?
When you open the program, is there 2 options? One should read Add VPN Connection. You don't want this one. You want the one that says VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers.
When installing, did you click on VPN Client Manager or VPN Client, in the installer itself?
I think I already have the newest version, but I'm double checking , its the same thing as it was before for me. If none of these questions help, try redownloading here, and pick the options SoftEther VPN Client, your OS, your cpu.
If this still doesn't work, then I'm outta ideas, sorry
Last I checked SoftEther's code quality wasn't very good.
VPN Gate's log retention/disclosure policy continues to be totally horrific (English, so people that expect privacy from certain classes of adversaries should avoid the service entirely.
> ただし、VPN Gate 実験運営者は、警察・検察などの捜査機関や裁判所などの司法機関から正当な理由を添えてログを開示するよう求められた場合は、接続ログを請求者に対して開示します。この場合、必ずしも裁判所令状の提出は要求されません (総務省見解)。
> Free Options: VPN Gate , Opera Browser, Cyber Ghost, Tunnel Bear
Depends what you're using it for. Some (all?) of these don't allow torrents with their free services.
?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/562/0/my-torrents-wont-work
Might be OK if you need the VPN for other uses.
I've just done this and it's showing 8002 keys remaining.
I'd try a different VPN? I just grabbed it using OpenVPN and a USA profile from VPN Gate Link
Also make sure once your VPN is active to re-click the original link, without a VPN mine re-directed me to a EU version of the page so just refreshing didn't help.
As /u/acpi_listen said, there really isn't any good free VPNs anymore, the free ones come with their own huge quirks (most keep logs, bad bandwidth limits, advertisements, etc.). I tend to go with VPN Gate because HotspotShield became full-blown AIDS to use. Only problem with VPN Gate is accessibility since there isn't always a stable connection to use because it is user-based rather than host-provided.
If you just want to view the webpage setting up a vpn is quite simple.
Download a vpn (in this example i will use SoftEther VPN
Allow it to install a network driver.
Open up the software and open VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers.
Find a host from korea with a decent line speed connect and you're good to go.
(Note: Using a vpn will slow down your internet speed significantly.)
Try VPN Gate on the computer. Free, because the servers are all volunteers, and the program itself is a research project. Might take a minute or two to find a server that works, but it's pretty stable and pretty fast. This site should work without a VPN.
I live in Japan too. Used a VPN to play the beta just fine. Higher ping of course, but it's all we can do.
I used SoftEther with free VPN Gate servers preloaded in. Link:
> posting bullshit
It's far from bullshit, it's as true as it gets. Even though VPN gate itself may not be making money from you, any users should be aware of this:
>VPN Gate network consists of many VPN servers, which are provided by volunteers around the world.
>You can provide your own computer as a VPN server to join this experiment.
While the VPN gate project, and University of Tsukuba may not be profiting from the project, the people in charge of the relays have free access to your information and ultimately complete control over what enters or leaves their network. Even when encrypted that's still valuable and dangerous.
If you're from the EU just use SoftEther VPN Gate to connect, start the game and disconnect after you reach the server selection.
Continue on your normal connection. That's how I do it from Germany.
if you have a lot lag and pingzapper fixes it:
Your ISP is routing your information wrong and it's taking too much steps to reach the FFXIV server. ANY free VPN software should fix the issue (it won't kick you every 30min either). Many people in EU are having this problem, mainly with Orange ISP, and it's caused by one of the networks (Telia afaik) routing the information to the wrong place.
I'd recommend using Softether VPN client with the VPN Gate plugin. It will let you connect to almost any country, find one that makes your connection work and use it 24/7 until the issue is fixed by your ISP.
Well why not do it this way:
What I also noticed: If you have a tuneled vpn it works the same. Currently using the free trial (3 days) of "Hide ALL IP" and then I can disconnect in-game without issues.
I use Private Internet Access. 40.00 U.S. per year.
Secure VPN Account
Encrypted WiFi
P2P and VoIP Support
PPTP, OpenVPN and L2TP/IPSec
5 devices simultaneously
Multiple VPN Gateways
Unlimited Bandwidth
SOCKS5 Proxy Included
No traffic logs
Instant Setup
They don't care if you torrent, they have servers or gateways all over the world and gateways that provide port numbers so you can port forward within your torrent app. Easily done by the way as explained here..
Been connected about 6 months now, and have great connection speeds, right click and left click to in gaming online or banking, speeds very close to what I get normally through my ISP. One time I had to contact support my issue, (which was me not knowing something and not their fault) was resolved within one 1 minute phone call. Couldn't be happier with the service.
Yes its safe. I actually do use VPN Gate because its fast and stable. Just a little thing i need to clear up with VPN Gate. While you are permitted to Torrent, i would advise you to not use it to download illegal torrents especially if you are using a Server that are strict on Torrents (Japan and South Korea in particular). Its on their ToS. You can get the operators in trouble if you download illegal stuff on there.
Not to mention, these servers are hosted by voluntary individuals. So at least show some respect since they are willing to share their connections. Apart from that, you can stream YouTube, Twitch, whatever as much as you want. Just don't use it for illegal Torrents. If you plan to Torrent, find another VPN service.
They also keep logs whenever you use tbeir VPN, but they do claim that they delete them every 3 to 7 Days.
Depends on how serious you are about maintaining uncensored access to the outside 'net. People on Tor, for instance, have had constant access to blocked sites. VPN Gate (L2TP/IPSec) works, but you need to hop to new servers every day or so.
Certain other services / software (Psiphon and Bitmask) will defy Chinese government controls until the day China completely cuts foreign internet access.
I use VPN Gate with the SoftEther client. I can confirm that Torrents do work, but i wouldn't advise it. You can get the owner of the server in trouble if the country is strict on Torrents (e,g; Japan, South Korea). Though, legal torrents should be fine.
Don't let the GFW bring you down, boss. VPN Gate is free, with frequently updated servers. The L2TP /IPsec servers work well. FQrouter works. Bitmask works too.
You may want to set your apps to manually update, else your battery drain will go up as the device makes continuous attempts to access blocked servers. When inside the GFW, I usually connect to the VPN and do updates every 3 or 4 days.
Gmail, Maps, and the other goodies require the VPN to function.
My friends are not so cheap and get good connectivity with Astrill, Black Logic, and other commercial VPNs.
Ok so I'm guessing you're talking about this:
If that came up, just close it. You selected "Add VPN Connection", which is the wrong option.
You need to double click the only other option there, that says "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers"
When you do that, this should pop up:
From then on it's quite straightforward, just choose whichever country you need the VPN to be in, in your case any of these countries:
Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, or Indonesia
Hope I helped :)
So quick question from a computer-illiterate person: now that I'm connected to a Japan VPN or w/e, if I want to go back to normal, i just connect to a US server thing from the VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers?
hi, can you try chaging the VPN?
Use this soft SoftEther VPN
download the client/ install/ start the SoftEther VPN Client Manager/ double click on VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Server and choose someone from the USA or a country near you.
It´s faster and without Tor
Fuck Maduro
When I try to connect to a Korean network using FlyVPN, I get told I need to purchase a membership. When I try to connect to Singapore with Spotflux, the software stays in a connecting state and the network adapter that was created says that the network cable is unplugged.
Any one have any suggestions?
Edit: Seems to have worked with VPN Gate/SoftEther VPN. Here's the link that helped me.
You should use only the newest servers from VPN Gate. The Great Firewall of China blocks servers fairly quickly, so don't waste time with servers older than a couple of hours. The ones in Japan and South Korea are fastest.
There are VPN Gate mirrors you can use since the main site is blocked in China. The GFW isn't fast enough yet to keep up with new server IPs coming up every hour or so. Too bad OpenVPN doesn't have obfuscation built in; it would otherwise totally defeat the GFW.
Used a free VPN. Install, run, double-click 'VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers' and choose a server in the United States. Super easy and totally worth it - great show! Like, the best I've seen in a long time.
It's something we're all raged about, you're not the first to be mad at EA.
It's all legal, confirmed by EA themselves. It's very simple. You just need to install a software and keep it running for 10 seconds while starting the game. It will make you appear as if you're launching it from Korea where the game unlocks at 15:00 GMT on 17th of November. Then you just turn it off and play.
You can find instructions here. I suggest going with the VPN Gate - using it myself, really good.
Also follow this thread for updates and English files.
Yes, in 8 hours, the game will be officially released in South Korea. If you login to the origin client through a korean VPN, origin will allow you to play at the same time korean's can.
Here's a screenshot of my titanfall page on origin after i logged in using a free korean vpn on VPN Gate (I am in Mountain Standard Time UTC-7):
VPN dude, it really easy :) ^^^^like ^^^^your ^^^^mum....
guide:
VPN:
(get the first one "Download SoftEther VPN Client + VPN Gate Client Plugin")
>Communications via VPN Gate are recorded as log files?
>It depends on the "Logging Policy" of each VPN Gate server. The Logging Policy is declared by the operator of each VPN Gate server. You can see >them in the Public VPN Relay Severs List page.
From the FAQ.
Here you go! Right now commercial VPNs do not work, you have to use VPN Gate and an individual server, and may have to try a few until you find one that works.
The proxy extensions that offer a list of countries use "VPN" as a keyword on the add-ons site.
You might also find VPN Gate useful.
You have to look up lists of free proxy servers on search engines.
Tor are easier to use. They're also more reliable.
There is VPN Gate which is free and I use it quite frequently. It was created by doctoral students at the University of Tsukuba in Japan.
I highly recommend this service.
