let me first point out that 6 - 8 is a very large party. its not un-doable but combat at that size is going to take a long time. as far as costs/getting started goes. all of you should get a set of dice. then there is a decent starter kit published by wizards of the coast that does a pretty good job teaching DMs and players (dm should read all the materials before getting started.) Its short, but it will keep each players startup cost to like $10. I would not suggest investing deep in to handbooks and monster manuals until you are, first, comfortable DMing, and second, sure you want to keep playing.
Remember March 2012?
https://www.wunderground.com/history/monthly/KTOL/date/2012-3
Between March 14 and 22 the high temp ranged from 70 to 85 degrees. Nice week of summer to end our winter. May that year was way above average, too.
FYI - You can easily see the ISS with the naked eye. You just need to know when and where to look. There's an app for Android called ISS Detector.
I remember seeing one a couple years ago at the Meijer on Alexis.
It looked like this one on Amazon, though it looks like it includes the suburbs too.

There's an inexpensive traditional barbershop in the Heatherdowns Shopping Center called Southland Barbershop (they used to be in Southland but moved). Here's the streetview of where it is.
I've been going there for years, it's awesome for a quick haircut, but isn't a good option if you're doing something fancy that the salons would usually do.
Here's an evolving map of known camera locations https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=208079759290084372536.0004c8f7781729f4d6792&msa=0&ll=41.656497,-83.556175&spn=0.085675,0.209255 care of @tdungjen_Blade.
Edit: This is only for those crime cameras, not red light or speed cameras.
I know that spot well. Those chunks of concrete hanging under the arches look like swinging corpses in the morning light. That's a great vibe on Halloween when you consider what happened at that site in the past:
From a google book: https://books.google.com/books?id=zRIwAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA461&dq=Roche+de+bout+rock+missionary+island&hl=en&sa=X&ei=q-TfVJOxEcqkgwT62YBg&ved=0CCQQ6AEwAA
Peter Manor (Manard) or "Yellow Hair' a halfbreed (French-Ottawa) in the first quarter of the nineteenth century told the following legend relating to Roche de Bout, viz: A party of Ottawa* were encamped near-by when a boy, while playing above the precipitous edge of the shore rock, accidentally fell to the flat rock below a distance of about forty feet, and was killed by the fall, the rock at the base of the ledge being bare at low stages of the rivet. The father, upon his return from the hunt and learning of the death of his boy, became enraged at the mother because she did not prevent the accident, and he hurled her over the precipice. Her friends rallied and treated him in like manner. This was the final signal for the gathering of the factions, and their angry struggles for revenge did not cease until the strength of those above the precipice was exhausted and a large part of their number had been thrown to the rock below. left (northwest).
I just checked my amazon history and this is what I've been using since March 2015: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006QB1RPY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've had good luck with it, and I initially got it because I was having a poor signal in the basement and some upstairs bedrooms, much improved by switching to this instead of the built in modem wireless. There are probably better options than what I bought a few years back, but with whatever you get I'm sure the signal will be much better vs. using the modem.
Netgear (R8000-100NAS) Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band WiFi Router, Gigabit Ethernet, Compatible with Amazon Echo/Alexa https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KWHMR6G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_8PlXBb790TTNV
It was not a seamless installation. Spent an hour or more with buckeye to get the modem configured correctly.
You need a laptop with an Ethernet connection to the new router. I also had to hook up to the modem a few times as well.
REMEMBER THIS IS NOW AN AFTERMARKET ROUTER THAT BUCKEYE HAS NO OBLIGATION TO SUPPORT!
That said do your own research on the router and what it supports. You might not need one as robust as mine.
We can't recommend enough getting away from the stock router though! You will thank yourself ten fold!
Edit; the modem I linked to has 3 bands. 2.4G hzand two 5Ghz wifi bands. This separation allowed us to do the following: All streaming devices are on 2.4G it might be a little slower BUT has a farther reach in our 2 story house. TVs are mounted on walls (bad reception)and not all streaming devices support 5G wifi.
One 5G band is for our our cell phones only
The other 5G is what I put our guests on and also our laptop.
This separation cuts down on network congestion on the WIFI bands! Our phones have no one to share bandwidth with.
We only stream 2 or 3 devices at a time and the 2.4g network can handle that and not slow down our phone wifi.
I know you specifically mentioned a brick and mortar store but I bought this one off of amazon for $12. Might help someone else looking for one.

Personally...I'm more in favor of this one.
we added one of these about 2 years ago, been very happy with the performance. My Mother in law went with the Reverse Osmosis system.

Does Perrysburg water taste different than Lucas County?
Bought this a few years ago and love it. The water tastes great. You still have to change filters every few months, but it's probably equivalent to buying bottled water - and you'll never run out! I ended up splitting the line and running it to the ice maker on our fridge too.
I bit my nails for 30+ years. Never clipped them once. When my son was 3 he started biting his nails. I got this:
https://www.amazon.com/Mavala-Switzerland-Stop-biting-ounces/dp/B0000YUXI0
I figured I would try and quit with him. So I put that stuff on his and my nails for a couple weeks. After about 2-3 weeks we both stopped. It tastes awful. Been 10+ years and I've never bit my nails again.
Check out this book:
https://www.amazon.com/Illegal-Gambling-Clubs-Toledo-2nd/dp/0997753706
Illegal Gambling Clubs of Toledo by Terry Shaffer. Fascinating history and a lot of the buildings are still around - like Georgio's downtown.
I looked at some of the B&W reviews at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=us.icabbi.blackwhite&showAllReviews=true, and it's not too encouraging! There's lots of negative feedback.
Do it inside your place where its warm
You ever see these?
They have adjustable resistance to simulate hills and stuff, just put your bike on it, tighten some bolts and your good to go at any speed with any resistance, without actually going anywhere
When I purchased my last house, they had a dish on the roof. Tossed the dish off, bought an outdoor antenna that came with an amplifier mounted it on the frame the dish came with. Luckily the coax cable ran into the house and was still connected and all inside. It turned out pretty decent! We got just about all the channels around including 11, 13, and 24.
This was the antenna I bought. I lived in 43612 area and while there are some trees around, the back of the house was pretty clear. Bungalow-styled home.
My MIL lives a few blocks away, got one of the indoor antennas mounted in above her TV and complains about it going fuzzy every so often, but that happens when you just walk in the general vicinity of the TV lol. Told her she needed to get it closer to the window but she doesn't want to run the cable along the walls.
Now getting moved in the new house and they had a dish here too, just mounted on the ground.....Need to look at a pole or something so I can mount another antenna and pray that the coax from that is still hooked up in here.
Try Facebook Marketplace. That's what it's for. Plenty of other stuff in Toledo for sale there. You'll get a whole lot more interest.
https://www.slideshare.net/KorayErgur/the-ergur-group-2012-toledo
This guy had some grand plans for Toledo, even a new high rise in his name!😂. I actually like his enthusiasm but some was a little wishful thinking. From your description is sounds like he may be a bit of a con man.
I've had mostly good results with using Facebook marketplace for firewood. You can usually find someone that will deliver a face cord (4' tall x 8' wide stack) for about $100. Make sure you ask when it was cut though - as others have said you'll want something at least 8-12 months seasoned.
If you're inexperienced with fires, I highly recommend using 1 of these to start your fires. You can get them at Lowes if you prefer not to use Amazon. If your fireplace doesn't have a cast iron grate to hold the logs I would add that to the list. Put a Fatwood piece on the grate, stack your wood, then light some newspaper underneath the grate. You'll have a fire going in minutes.
The perseids are in the NE and they drop down on their way to dawn, you want to head towards Maumee Bay to get past the city and highway lights, I'm not sure where is good to go in that direction. Maybe by Clay High School, or a cemetery? -- OTOH, at Oak Openings, there's a parking lot at the Wabash trail on the west side (https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Waterville+Swanton+Road+and+Monclova&hnear=Waterville+Swanton+Rd+%26+Monclova+Rd,+Swanton,+Lucas,+Ohio+43558&t=h&z=16) -- you can walk the trail about 1000 feet east to a big field which should have enough open sky in that direction. I don't think anybody/ranger would mess with your car, there's a chance that boy scouts might be camping in the park across the road, in which case there might be other cars parked there (even better). The parking lot is past the boundary of the park. Not sure if the airport has light pollution or not, I don't think so anymore. Really far from downtown though. Also, it peaks Saturday night, according to this - http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2018886412_perseid10m.html - so if we have bad weather, you have two nights to pick from.

Great info. Which router would you recommend? The house has two floors. Basically a family room in the lower, which has a TV that I'd assume they would use for streaming TV. it is for a single person, so I don't suspect they'll need a ton of speed nor do they even watch a lot of TV. I do foresee them using other devices over time, like an Alexa or maybe a wifi camera, but there should never be a need for multiple streaming devices.
I'm looking at the ARRIS CM820A modem ($58 on Amazon. Also found a NETGEAR Nighthawk for $76 on Amazon, just not sure if this would cover up/down.
If you are in a pinch, we use a combination of Muenster. Monterey Jack/ Mozzarella (never pre shredded). This seems to be a pretty close approximation. I've also read that Butterkase is pretty close as well. I have made it with Wisconsin Brick Cheese before (I've found it at Churchill's Briarfield sporadically), and i can tell you, this is not the most crucial piece. If you get the sauce and pan/ dough down, any of the above options are great. I've heard that very few actual Detroit style pizza places even use the brick cheese. I'll definitely check out Sofo's. good luck!
Also, Amazon has it https://www.amazon.com/Brick-Wisconsin-Cheese-Mild-oz/dp/B00HYMXJO6
It was a Arris Touchstone DG860A, but no longer on Amazon, I found this one which comes new: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A1E6BA2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_uEalCbJMVKBNZ
I do very much recommend a pure modem, do NOT get one that has WiFi built in, as long as you are using your own router which I recommend.
Heavily recommend Google WiFi.
I know they have improved, but I've only had them for 5 or 6 months so I'm not sure how much. That is how I run mine. I just have a dedicated phone which I hotspot to this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GBXMBQF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
to spread the signal.
I am part of a group, so I pay $25 per month which I think is an incredible value.
I don’t know what the consensus is on ordering things from amazon right now, but this book greatly helped me when I was learning!

I installed one of these saucer looking antennas at the peak of my roof and now we get 20-25 channels crystal clear: https://www.amazon.com/ANTOP-Amplified-Directional-Extremely-Reception/dp/B01N4J5YGB/ref=sr_1_17?keywords=outdoor+antenna&qid=1557755064&s=gateway&sr=8-17
You can knock $10 off your monthly bill by purchasing your own modem. Here is a list of their compatible router/modem
I bought this one for $30 and it works great. Pay $30 once to save $120/year.
I use Yi Home cameras. They're usually $30 a piece, and require a separate micro SD card. I have these and they're simple to setup. The app is also pretty straight forward and has easy playback, recording, and sharing functions.
I have mine set to essentially alert me with video footage if anyone enters my home when I'm at work.
I have a small antenna (35 mile range) and it works well! Here is a link to it on Amazon. It picks up about 25-30 local channels or so for me.
I own one of these:
https://www.7daycam.com/ddpai-dashcam/ddpai-dashcam-mini-full-hd-wifi-dash-camera-car-black-box.html
The video quality is pretty good, but there's a lot of wide angle distortion on the edges of the video. This is pretty common with a lot of dash cams since they have extremely wide angles of 140-170 degrees usually.
I believe this is a chinese dash cam someone is importing to the USA and selling, but I've had 0 issues with it. You can review footage straight from your phone, and it works pretty well. Sometimes you have to let it "buffer" the video, but you can download clips straight to the phone too. This feature is what made me look at it over others in the same price range, especially if I were to get into an accident, I could just whip out my phone and playback the evidence to a police officer.
Aukey also has a few on Amazon with good reviews too. I kind of want to try one out, but I have my current DDpai dash cam mounted with 3M tape, and it'll be a pain to remove! I might grab one for a "rear camera" in case someone were to rear end me at a red light.
EDIT: Xoami also makes the Yi dash cam now apparently. I have plenty of their security cameras and have had a good experience with them, and their apps. Now I totally want to buy one of these: http://www.amazon.com/YI-Sensitivity-Definition-Outstanding-Performance/dp/B01C89DTFI/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1463015228&sr=8-18&keywords=yi+camera
Unfortunately, we use the oil-packed anchovies at the restaurant I work at. If you have a real hankering for salt-packed, these seem well reviewed. Sorry it's Amazon! Good luck in the search.
