I have been using the last version of Press for years because i just like the UI better than the alternatives. I just discovered Newsfold which seems pretty close to Press and also syncs with Feedly.
I like Quote, a new RSS/Feedly reader app from the creator of Fenix.
It's the most elegant RSS reader app since Press (which is now abandonware).
I've been using Newsfold that has offline caching, but requires Feedly or Inoreader: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.mvilla.android.quote
Edit: Perhaps Palabre may be more what you're looking for: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.levelup.palabre
I use feedly to import my ompl and then i use the Newsfold app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.mvilla.android.quote&hl=en
You can do titles only in your subs and then it is much more compact as well.
+1 for Palabre, it is the prettiest one that I have found but the list view sucks imo
Quote is a nice rss reader that integrates with Feedly. I use the ad-supported free version but don't find the ads to be too annoying.
I use Newsfold, made by the same developer who made Fenix for Twitter
Quote has been my favorite for a few months now. It's simplistic, but not lacking.
Try Newsfold!
Newsfold is an RSS reader and is quickly becoming one of my most used apps. It's very pretty and minimalistic.
Walli provides me with an ever flowing stream of original and beautiful wallpapers. Its categories are useful too. For some examples, have a look at these surreal wallpapers by Albulena Panduri from Kosovo.
Resplash is another great wallpaper app, with photos from Unsplash.
I've been using Newsfold for the last 5 months and so far I'm very pleased https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.mvilla.android.quote
Palabre was already mentioned, and is my go to rss reader. Another nice one is Newsfold.
Newsfold is great

How does it compare to Newsfold, if you've tried it?
I moved from Palabre to Newsfold. Might give it a try.
Not really a switcher. I have Windows, Android, and iOS devices. One thing I really appreciate is that apps follow their respective platform UI guidelines.
Being said so:
Feedly: Top option: Newsfold Runner up: Palabre
Reddit: Top option: Relay Runner up: Baconreader
All apps are paid apps, support their development!
Newsfold, the best RSS reader. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.mvilla.android.quote
Use Newsfold you can play any subscription and only thing you can't do is background
Try Newsfold. Has a dark mode for free. Pitchblack for $2.49
nope, it's very much in active development https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.mvilla.android.quote&hl=en
Wait, what? No mention of newsfold? It's the replacement of choice for old Press fans. It's gorgeous!
