The 5k to 10k Android app by Active is pretty good, I used it but eventually I found it too slow and progressed without it.

Yes! The same company that makes the Cto5K app also has a 5k to 10k app. It's fantastic. Here it is for android. But I'm sure it's on itunes as well.

I'm giving this one a try, the Active 5k to 10k app. I wasn't a big fan of how some programs go back to a mix of walking and running. This one keeps up the pace and adds in tempo + sprints to help improve your general running skill and pace.
Only potential issue is that this is a 9 week program, but I don't mind that so much personally.
Good luck on your final week, keep it up!
I'm one step further; I use 5k to 10k :)
They do :), it's free also.
Android link for same (Apple) app linked above in case anyone wants to check it out. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.active.aps.tenk
Erm...maybe it's the wrong name. Let me check! .... Yes, I'm sorry. I meant this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.active.aps.tenk
First off: Congratulations! That is fantastic progress and I'm glad you were able to come out of this rough situation with a positive attitude.
Second: You can most definitely run a 10K by this summer if you would like to. Plenty of training programs out there, especially if you can already comfortably run a 5K in a bit over 30 minutes. These plans only take 2 to 3 months.
Here is a Novice plan: https://www.halhigdon.com/training-programs/10k-training/novice-10k/
There is also the 5K to 10K training app:
