I schedule blocks of time for certain tasks. I made an app for it because I didn't like using paper. It's pretty simple. Check it out if you want.

As a student, I keep a planner to fill with due dates and homework that I need to do. Everyday, I schedule what I am going to be doing and when on an app I created to fit a system heavily influenced by Cal Newport and his work: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tk.abestudying.atob
I give myself reasonable, realistic time-frames to complete my work and I track my results at the end of the day. This helps to see where I went wrong in order to improve for the future and where I succeeded.

Ironically, I made an app that lets you schedule exactly as you described and reminds you to do your work. I use the same system.
