Age of Zombies is a dual stick shooter with two player cooperative mode using same screen.
Looks like the dev unpublished it, I've sent email to them asking why. I can still install it from my app library.

Edit: they replied, it's unpublished because of GDPR and they won't re-publish it :(
>Hey there,
>Thank you for contacting the Halfbrick team!
>Unfortunately, we have made the decision to remove the game from the store. This is because it currently does not meet the legal requirement of recent legislation changes. This means the game will likely no longer function correctly on your device. If you had previously purchased it, you should be able to find it in your purchase history on the App Store or Google Play Store and download it again from there.
>We appreciate you being a fan of the game, and we’re sorry we could not continue to support it.
De-listed but not removed. If you had it before you can get it from here

Does this link work for you? I'm in Germany so it might just give you an error. It doesn't show up if I search for it in Google Play, but I can still find it under "my apps".
I'm new here as well. I recently went through my catalog of old purchases and was surprised at how many work on the Shield TV. (Honestly, I wasn't expecting any.)
Below is the games I currently have installed. This list omits some of the obvious buys for the platform that Nvidia does so well with (Portal, Half-Life, KOTOR, etc). I'm either reasonably excited or very excited about each of these, though I may not have enough time to play all of them. :-P I've played each of these at least for a few minutes, unless otherwise noted. (I can't speak to UK differences so YMMV.)
Wazhack - side-scrolling roguelike; been on Android for a long while. Haven't played yet.
ES File Explorer - Works with remote (though not always easy); used for slide-loading games off USB drive.
Sideload Launcher - Not all playable games show up in the games list on the main screen; this gives quick access to all games/apps.
Side-note in case anyone else is wondering: I was puzzled why Nvidia's amazing button-mapper util didn't come with the Shield TV. (It allows you to overlay hardware controller buttons on top of touch-screen controls.) After a lot of Googling it looks like the answer is because Android TV itself is not built with support for touch events. Hopefully Google will change that.
Edit: Markdown.
This is my folder that has controller support. There are more, but those are the ones I like for now.
What an awesome bundle. I've had my eye on Tiny Keep for a while but I was holding back because the description says something about needing high end devices to play it. At this price (and with all the other games + PC installers thrown in), I can take the hit of not being able to play the game on my phone.
Quick review time!
PWYW Tier:
Crimsonland - This is a twinstick shooter and plays like Age of Zombies, but you're against aliens in this game. I remember playing this around 2004/2005. The UI looks really nice and the game plays well. However aiming is really hard because of the touch controls. I think it has controller support, I'll confirm later when I try it out with my IPEGA-9025.
Fotonica - This is an endless runner that uses jumping and quick falling as it's mechanics. There is only one "lane," but there are several "tracks" at different heights. The graphics are pretty bare bones since they're just 3D outlines but it does remind me a bit of Mirror's Edge because you can see your Avatar's hands as he's running on the track.
BTA Tier:
Tiny Keep - as expected, my device can't run it well. It's has choppy framerates. There is a change resolution option on the menu but it's disabled so I can't try running it on a lower resolution. I also tried it on my backup phone with a 854x480 screen and the menus didn't resize. Oh well. :(
Crowntakers - I bought this when it went on sale a few months back. This game mixes Roguelike with SRPG. The overworld exploration is randomly generated, but there are certain "nodes" that exist in all levels like the merchant, the blacksmith and the exit/entrance to the next level. This bit reminds me a bit of FTL: Faster than Light because of the way the nodes sometimes have random events. Combat switches to an SRPG style similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. Overall I think the game is really well done and I got my money's worth. My only complaint is that it only took me around 7-8 games to consistently beat the game on normal (around 10-12 hours of gameplay). I wish there was a hard mode to challenge me further or to make my winning formula not be as good.
Note: I'll update this post as I try out more games
Here is my controller folder without the racing games :
You'll probably find something you like in there, there's a thousand more games with controller support though, you'll probably receive a bunch of recommendations
