You have a good start in terms of the gaps. I'd continue building / adding onto that list, and prioritizing what you tackle based on where you feel the biggest gap is... And you'll probably find you're doing some cross-training in the process.
This won't replace studying algorithms and doing practice problems, but this algorithms app (Play Store, iTunes Store might help you start getting a sense of some basic / common algorithms.

I always find commuting to be a waste of time unless you can do some learning or read a book. Unfortunately I end up on Reddit more times than I'd like to admit, but I have found successes at the same time
