I use Xiphos. As far as I've ever found, it has all the good things eSword has.
There's an Android app from the same project as Xiphos, it's called AndBible.
You should pick Xiphos over e-Sword, because:
Not the most popular choice, but I use AndBible. It's free, open source software and based on the cross-platform SWORD Project. It has a good variety of translations and available resources.
It was removed. You can still get AndBible though.
If you don't have prayer language you can always uses some else's. Pray the Psalms.
Pray what you are reading in the Bible.
Contemplative prayer is great.
For God So loved The world He gave His only Son.
That is a prayer right there try to really put your heart into it. Be honest. Your depressed so talk about that with God while you pray those words above.
For a Bible I recommend And Bible app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.bible.android.activity
If you want to read about pray the have a section for book non biblical that you can download as well.
The Practice of the Presence of God: The Best Rule of Holy Life
being Conversations and Letters of Brother Lawrence
That is a great read on prayer. Private message me if you ever need to chat
I would say for sure the four gospels and the book of Acts.
But for a pretty nice take on living the Christian life, there is a short book called The Practice of the Presence of God by brother Lawrence. It's available for free all over the internet. I read it in this app on my phone.

You can add Bible versions and commentary, including Christian classics.
That book is interviews with a monk in the seventeenth century. It really simplifies things. I can do no better without God making me able. It's not a surprise that I fail or sin. God is grace. He forgives my stumbling and helps me live out my faith right.
God bless you!
Oh, before I forget, go to gotquestions.org to see answers to most questions you can think of. Reliable and sound.
And Bible can do this. It has support for viewing different translations in different panes / windows. It has a very active development community and many great features such as being able to tag Bible verses. I've used this app for years now.

The simplest way is to use a bilingual Bible app like AndBible. You can download modern Spanish translation and open another window with the English version. There are easy books like Genesis, more sophisticated (Ruth) and much more complicated (Job, Psalms).
And Bible, which is free.
No NRSV or NASB, though. They're kinda picky about licensing, and And Bible mostly grabs free sources.
I haven an app "And Bible" (android bible). It contains the King James Version in which it can switch to showing the Strong's Concordance numbers as well. It also allows you to find all references to the same number through the Bible. It can load other bible versions as well, but they don't support the Strong concordance numbering.
Which version you read is really a matter of personal preference. I usually switch between The Living Bible and New King James Version. I find them both a lot easier to read than The King James Version which has a lot of "thee" and "thou".
The And Bible app for Android lets you have a lot of different versions.
You should find out what version your pastor uses when preaching, that will make it easier to follow along in church. (If you're more of a reader than a listener.
I use "YouVersion" (https://www.bible.com/app) and "And Bible"(for android), as well as bible.is (with audio in many languages!), biblegateway.com, biblehub.com.
God bless you, brother.

Free app. Lets you download numerous versions entirely so no Internet is required for reading.
Here's a good Bible study app if you have an Android device:

> What should i do to understand everything i need to know?
Hi. Christ taught about the Kingdom of God. You can read all His speeches in the books Matthew,Mark,Luke,John. Actually these 4 books(the new testament starts with these 4 books) all describe the same time-period (from His birth to cross to ressurection to Him ascending up to heaven), and most stories are written at least two of these books.
I think what is most important, is for you to understand what Christ was teaching.
Read His words, and pray for insight, and let your mind not be clouded by what people say.
Many people say things about Christianity(even in some churches) which are not really founded on Christs teachings.
Many people say 'yeah but..' even though Christ didn't give a 'but..'.
Christ teaches in many parables. The most important is the parable of the seeds( Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-20, and Luke 8:1-15). He says himself, if you don't understand this one, how can you understand all parables.. Much of the (mystery of the) Kingdom of God, He taught in the sermon on the mount. Trust that God will give you understanding in His parables. Jesus said:
> Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
audobible: There are audio bibles, which you can download. Whenever i'm on the road i'm able to listen to the bible by speech. It's very interesting how sometimes you get an ah-ah moment, even though you thought you knew the texts.
strongs concordance: It took a while for me to find it out, but there are only a few greek-to-english translations which have a reference to the original greek word(such reference is called concordance. Each greek word has is own concordance number).
the Authorized King James (AKJV or KJV) has such concordance called (Strongs concordance).
I use the AndBible(Android Bible on my phone) which has a simple way to see the concardance.
red-letter edition: Also, some Bibles, have red-letter or blue-letter editions, where the actual phrases by Jesus Christ are collored red. That is handy because sometimes it's people speaking and not God. It's good to realize who's speaking. In some stories people say something which is wrong ;)
And Bible - Multiple windows, multiple versions. I believe it's put out by crosswire bible society?
