Andor's trail. A free, fun and long rpg with a ton of content and stuff to do. It is not entirely finished but there are still several hours of content available. Quite grindy though.

Thank you anyway.
Hmm, Andor's Trail maybe. It's an open source rpg with storylines that are a lot more grey than the usual black and white morals you tend to see in most RPGs. Doing the right thing might not always benefit your character, and some scenes were surprisingly heavy.
Andor's Trail
~~Permadeath~~, pixel art, a bit of grinding, but nice exploration and story line.

Edit: actually I think it has saves.
Andor's Trail, A guy searching for his brother, explore different locations and complete different quest in the process. But the game is still WIP, his brother is not found yet. you will have to wait for the updates. Andor's Trail
Andor's Trail. An open source RPG. You know how in a lot of RPGs you're a hero helping townspeople? How things are often very black and white and you're typically the good guy? Well, Andor's Trail is a lot more grey... The most beneficial actions might not always be the most morally right ones, and I found some scenes to be unexpectedly heavy.

Andor's Trail is possibly what you're looking for. There are a lot of skills you can develop but I don't think you get enough points to level them all up, and on level you get a small choice of what stat to improve like HP, attack chance, block chance, or attack damage.
Grid-based movement, turn-based combat. You get 10 AP per turn you can spend to attack or to run from combat, AP use is determined by the weapon you use. Game is old and appears incomplete given there are no animations and no music, but there are several maps of content to explore and enemies to grind EXP/drops from.
I'm still pretty early in the game but it is kind of hard to start. You might get into missing matches with the ants around town but rats will probably beat you up, and all of this is made worse with few ways to heal a bunch of health at once since food only gives a regeneration buff so far. Some gear seems to have tradeoffs, like a shield lowering hit rate to increase block rate. There doesn't seem to be magic as far as I can tell, and there are three melee builds between sword-and-board, dual-wield, and using a 2H weapon.
There's also a beta released a couple of months ago for the upcoming new version that might release this year, if you're fine with your saves not carrying over to said new version when it finally hits.
Andor's Trail is pretty lightweight (just over 10MB on my phone total) and turn-based, but it's pretty rough. No music or sounds (or maybe I turned those off) and there's no animations or anything. There is an upgrade tree you slowly move through as you level up, but there aren't additional classes or anything so you'll pretty much be smacking things in melee.
Falls du RPGs magst: Andor's Trail.
You could try looking for an open source game you're interested in and contribute localizations (example: Andor's Trail - localization project) ; localizing pages from a game wiki (example: Minecraft) can be another option.
Both examples are translation projects I've been involved with in the past, it has been a fun experience. I'm no professionnal translator though, it's been as a pure hobby.
