Assassin's Creed Identity S4.99=>.99 cents!
It does have IAP as well as needing a constant online connection so there you go.

For some reason I thought it was a F2P title with IAPs. I see there are still IAPs, anyone know what they are from the iOS version?
I don't understand all these claims about Google having a problem with a middle eastern man in the icon. Assassins Creed has basically the same icon.

I have nearly every release of every AC game. I typically get the PC version with the most DLC without getting feelies. I do, for one reason or another, have duplicate PC versions of AC II, III, Freedom Cry, and IV. I also have them all on PS3 until Rouge, and Unity and Syndicate on XBoxOne. I stopped collecting the console versions when Origins came out. I also have the books but I don't expect anyone to care about that. I really want to play some again on the Switch for the same reason I would by my 5th copy of Skyrim on the switch: motion controls.
Name (Release Year, Re-release): Thoughts.
Assassin's Creed (2007, Anthology 2012, Heritage Collection 2013): If you play this one first there will be a payoff later on in the series. If you have ever played any of the others in the series you will likely hate this one for its clunky controls, repetitive tasks, and first generation graphics.
Assassin's Creed II (2009, Ezio Trilogy 2012, Anthology 2012, Heritage Collection 2013): You can tell Ubisoft decided this would now be a franchise. The game is so much better than the first one it might be the best of all time. Future games never captured the story of the non-action character of Desmond Miles like the II series did. The Desmond Lucy relationship was so powerful my girlfriend would stop what she was doing to watch those cut scenes.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (2010, Ezio Trilogy 2012, Anthology 2012, Heritage Collection 2013): If this was an iPhone it would be an S model. Clearly the next game in the series. It's fine and a good continuation of the story building on everything AC II introduced.
Assassin's Creed: Revelations (2011, Ezio Trilogy 2012, Anthology 2012, Heritage Collection 2013): Greatly improved the flow of travel around the map.
Assassin's Creed III (2012, Anthology 2012, Heritage Collection 2013, The Americas Collection 2014, Remastered 2019): Major graphics bump. If you like to explore the map before you explore the story feel free to do it here as well. You will change characters at some point (no spoilers) but collectibles will not be lost. The 2019 remastered had some polar responses by fans, just like all remakes.
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation (2012, HD 2014, The Americas Collection 2014, Remastered 2019): A PSVita game remastered for PC (and eventually everyone). It feels like it should be part of II, but it takes place in III. Oh, and you're a woman. Which, isn't a big deal these days but it was controversial at the time. Who says gaming has a history of sexist? Almost everyone. I thought it was good game at the time.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013, The Americas Collection 2014): Pirate ships change everything. So much fun Ubisoft ~~is~~ was making a new franchise dedicated to the ships mechanic. Errr....? Hey Ubisoft remember that Skull & Bones 2017 demo? Is the beta going to be out by 2022? Oh, and Black Flag is capped at 62.5 FPS, confirmed by Ubisoft.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag: Freedom Cry (2013): DLC that was also released as its own game. It's a small version of IV where you play as a slave. I have played it both ways and it works fine as a standalone game. Easy to beat in a weekend if you want a short Assassin's Creed game.
Assassin's Creed: Rogue (2014, Remastered 2018): A multi-character story that does a good job moving the story forward. I guess. It was the last game released on PS3 / Xbox 360 consoles. It's was a standard AC game and as a result it's often the most the overlooked game in the franchise because its meh performance came between the wonderfully received Black Flag and the dumpster fire of a release Unity.
Assassin's Creed: Unity (2014): A terrible release made for the new generation of consoles (PS4 and XB1), but a really good PC game after all the patches. All AC games release new mechanics because that's how these franchises work. The big one here was being able to run down buildings instead of being forced to jump off them. While the parkour was needed an updated combat and stealth system also made it feel fresh. The terrible reviews caused this games price to plummet but don't let this discourage you. With patches it's totally a game.
Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (2015): A good game, but not my favorite. For me there are two camps to this one: got bored with the series and LOVED IT. Obviously, I am generalizing because I am not getting a Ph.D. in AC his story.
Assassin's Creed: Chronicles (2015-2016): Not part of the main franchise, but so much fun it's worth playing. This could have been an mobile game, but I am glad it wasn't. It's a platformer with stealth mechanics. The games take place in China, India, or Russia. Each sold separately except where bundled.
Assassin's Creed: Origins (2017): Great story, but even more fun to explore. In fact its so much fun to explore Ubisoft added Discovery Tour mode which replaces your weapons with a camera. You can get Discovery Tour by itself but it comes as part of the game. Sigh... yes... I have both. Just get the main game unless you really hate violence. It introduces some level-up skill trees which is fine and the eagle vision is literally and eagle now.
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (2018): A great followup for Origin. Play as Kassadnra. It's the exact same story but she is much more interesting of a character, IMO. I enjoyed the addition of the mercenary system they added where skilled warriors hunt you down based on your notoriety. Ships play a big part of the game because the map is huge. Historically, Ubisoft studios made the games independently and this often led to the next game in a series missing feature from the last one. No more. Odyssey is Origins with more.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla (2020): Unreleased. YOU CAN INVITE CATS TO TRAVEL ON YOUR BOAT!!!!!1! Oh, and it has Vikings or something.
Mobile-only games; still canon.
Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles (2008): A DS and mobile game. It was clunky 3D prequel to AC I. The DS came out first but I have read the mobile ports were actually better. It's no longer available for download.
Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines (2009): It's fine, for a PsP game. just keep in mind that I didn't like my PsP. It's a linear 3D platformer. Assassin's Creed II: Discovery (2009): And iOS and DS game. I say I don't care about this game because I don't have it. It's a 2.5D platformer.
Assassin's Creed: Pirates (2013): Originally iOS and Android. It's a webgame now.
Assassin's Creed Identity (2016): It was the first RPG AC game. Still available on iOS and android. Set in the Italian Renaissance.
Assassin's Creed Rebellion (2018): A free-to-pay Strategy-RPG, It's different than Identify. Still available on iOS and android. A new Animus allows you play with different Assassins because they needed a way to explain the online multiplayer.
I said Unity and meant Identity. Apologies.
