Auralux. It's the only mobile game I've played that I feel was good enough I should recommend it to others. There is likely some crossover of Factorio people who'd enjoy its challenge.

I've really been enjoying Auralux Constellations - it's quite expensive to buy the full game, but you get a taste of all the different level types. Extremely challenging on the later levels.

So this is a pretty straightforward plug, but:

I'm a game designer. I loved RTSs, but I hated all the things people are complaining about here. APM, micro, build orders, control groups, overly long games, zerg rushes, etc. etc.

I made an RTS game that is essentially designed to be the opposite of all these things. It was called Auralux. The sequel, Auralux: Constellations came out a few months ago. It's free on iOS and Android (you can buy more levels later on). Give it a shot if this thread resonates with you.

If you are looking for a realtime online game for quick play sessions Auralux Constellations is a straight forward RTS, very easy to pick up and play.

If you are all together in the same room Spaceteam is fun.
