Can we start a list of BOM sourced weather apps? Any other Aussie apps which are useful? Tripview is pretty much the go-to for transport in Syd and Melb but are there any others?
I use Aus Weather which is pretty nice.
Yeh, the BOM is ultimately the source of weather data in Australia anyways, just a question of how you want it displayed. Some other redditors programmed up Aus Weather, which is pretty spiffy.
I use Seabreeze because of its focus on wind - scroll across the day and you'll see the wind strength for a given hour. Southerlies always bring cool air (and usually storms), westerlies hot. Normal skimmer direction is north east for the harbour area.
I like AusWeather for Android. Dev updates pretty quick to implement relevant new features in each major OS release, complies with Material Design and it sources weather info from BOM.
Aus Weather Australia is a good one. I moved from pocket weather to it and it's pretty close. It also uses BoM data.

Love the work they've put into Pocket Weather and as it stands, I think it's the best looking and fully featured app that uses BoM data. But iirc it costs money, while I think it's worth buying the next best free apps in my opinion are Aus Weather, followed by Willy Weather. Aus Weather has a more material design but Willy Weather has more features (drag able chart for temperature, precipitation, etc).
Not promotion, I just really like weather apps. I've jumped between 4+ in the past couple of months.
Edit: links to a bunch that I tried so that you can see if you like them better:

Also, thought I'd mention https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.funtopia.weatheraustralia&hl=en which is also good but also looks bad imo
Aus Weather was the best option I could find after shifty-jelly
I've been using Aus Weather for years.
You might want to specify Android or iOS.
On Android I'm a big fan of Aus Weather Australia. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benjanic.ausweather
Been using Aus Weather since the announcement that PW was going to die.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benjanic.ausweather&hl=en_AU
Uses data from the BoM
I've found Aus weather Australia to be the closest so far

I thought the pin had already been pulled. I went on the search a while back, and the best I could find was Aus Weather
Pocket weather has draggable precip/temp and wind velocity.
Aus weather has ads (you can disable them through iAP, but at that point, imo pocket weather is better).
Willy weather has no material :(
But I will agree, those 2 apps are pretty good. I was using Aus Weather until this update :P
I use Aus Weather and think it's pretty awesome. It has a widget, Radar, forecast, details about today...
