That depends on the projector. Some professional quality ones that are ethernet connected can be. Barco has one for example. But you'll really need to find out what the manufacturer of the projector is and if they have an app, and also if it is connected to a network.

This is what I was referring to, seems it only works with their hella-expensive models. Setting up a rear-projection sitting in the house is a neat experience.
