My game also took around 4 months to be completed, I'm not an artist (just a programmer) so I was looking for assets that other people created and sometimes just couldn't find the right thing, also, I was doing and learning on the same time so it took sometime to get used to some things and of course, there was some (a lot of) procrastination, hehe.
