Link to the CBC radio app for anyone that wants it. You can subscribe to shows and download audio. I also recommend Quirks and Quarks which is a great science show.

The apps are actively developed (Last updated on November 7, 2016) and I find the developers actually acknowledge issues people have鈥擣or instance, there might be a technical reason to disable this feature.
Too bad. The CBC radio app has improved a lot, but it still doesn't support Chromecast.
