I use Chess Time for correspondence games - great design, easy to use, good amount of features - but no frills (training, videos, etc.)
I like Chess Time. There's a premium version that removes ads but overall it's a very clean and simple chess app with a decent amount of features.
I like to use Chess Time. It's simple and works well.

I prefer Chess Time. Online play with no unnecessary bells and whistles, and a great, minimalistic design.
If you want something super simple, but also well-designed (material design spec'd), to play between friends, correspondence style, I highly, highly recommend Chess Time.
Looks modern, is highly customisable, and isn't bogged down with 5 million "sounds neat, but will never use" features.
