50 year old guy here. It doesn't stop, but gets less time goes on. My fave answer now is to pull out my phone and open this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SeewaldSolutions.ColorBlindnessSimulator&hl=en_AU

You can use it to simulate what you see and add a digital "correction" which has been enough for me to be able to tell red from green when doing electrical wiring.
Here's some good news: you can use an app on your phone to adjust the colors into your visible range. here's one. Tap bottom left to select your kind of color-blindness (i'm guessing green), tap top left to switch to correction mode and tap bottom right to turn of split screen.
You can use an app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SeewaldSolutions.ColorBlindnessSimulator to correct your colorblindness whilst viewing something.
It should allow you to see the picture.
