Holy hell!
Thanks a lot!
I'm a sucker for a good read and this is a game as well! Gonna start right now.

Void Tyrant is a hard but very replayable roguelike. Shattered Pixel Dungeon is pixel art, but it's not too hard on the eyes if that's your issue. I've heard great things about UnCiv as a Civilisation V clone, but I haven't personally gotten and to playing it yet.
Interactive fiction and visual novels are great for killing some time, I recommend Magium and everything by Delight Games.
Kind of off topic for the subreddit, but there are some good free ebooks out there if you want to kill a lot of time.
There are tons of text based Android games like that.

This old thread has some suggestions: https://www.reddit.com/r/choiceofgames/comments/otr4rz/any_free_game_that_has_romance/
You could check out the interactive fiction genre tag on itch.io. A lot of the text games are twine WIP demos, but there's also some finished games. Lots of games on there are either free or name your own price.
Superstition S1 and Superstition S2 are free completed books, but are part of an ongoing supernatural series. There's paid DLC, but they're optional extra stories. The author, 13Leagues, also has a few fantasy WIPs that they're currently working on.
Example of a completed game with romance would be Known Unknowns, but bear in mind it's not COG/HG style, the protagonist has a set gender/appearance/name, and I think only one RO as far as I can tell.
Example of a WIP is A Tale of Crowns, it's a romance game set in a Middle Eastern inspired fantasy setting. There's 8 chapters out now, and the story has 4 ROs with a similar setup to Wayhaven Chronicles (they're all gender choice and you lock in the RO after a certain point).
There's also Delight Games on android and iOS, as well as Tales: Choose Your Story on iOS (this is early access on android but I can't get the link, but you should be able to find it if you search in the Google play store).
Most of the ones I know have already been mentioned so if you're ok with branching outside of COG/HG there's also Zombie High by Delight Games (Android and iOS), which is fully complete. Tbh I'm not sure it'll be your thing because it has a semi-defined female protagonist (no NB inclusivity) and the MC is a high school student, but I felt I should mention it for posterity. It felt personal though and had a lot of drama AND action, as well as some romance with I think 2 male ROs. I think it might be more linear than most COGs/HGs, but I only did one playthrough a long time ago so I'm not 100% sure.
Also there was a really good WIP ages ago called Apex Predators where you played as a vampire in a zombie apocalypse, by the same author as Shepherds of Haven. I'm not 100% sure what happened to it, it went on hiatus, the demo was removed, the Tumblr was deactivated or hidden, and I got an email from Tales that it was a new story there. It's only on iOS though and I don't have an iPhone anymore to check myself.
