Since it is cold outside (where I wanted to test it) I didn't spend too long there. I have a drain that is slow and I wanted to see what is blocking it.
The flexible / stiff cord seems ok. You can extend it vertically about a foot to a foot and a half before it bend over on it's own.
The manual says that it works with android 4.4 and up. I have a tablet I tried it on (android 4.21) and it worked but the image that was coming from the camera kept on flickering just like a bad connection. I tried it on my windows 10 computer and my android 6.0 phone and the video was fine there.
There is an adjustable led brightness control right near the usb plug. It does allow you to turn off the leds.
You can either download the official android app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idepstech.app) or CameraFi from another company (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vaultmicro.camerafi). The CameraFi app people seem to find that it works better than most other apps.
The focus length seems to be about a minimum of 1 or 2 inches to about 6 or 8 inches away.
