The best nail puller, in my opinion, is this. Once I bought a pair, I use them all the time.
Over the years, I’ve collected hundreds of driver bits, but I’ve never found a way to store and organize them in a compact manner. There are lots of options, but they all seem expensive or unwieldy or whatnot.
Well, it turns out .22lr ammo boxes hold them perfectly. I might be late to the party, but I don’t think I’ve seen this done despite searching for options.
I’m sure any .22lr box would work, but these are the ones I’m using. They fit perfect with almost no rattling. In and out without struggle. Stay closed when upside down and rattled around. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01CGTYNAK
Hope this helps somebody else trying to organize.
I’m still dreaming of a way to organize 3-inch bits I used with my driver, but haven’t found anything yet.
And don’t even think of asking why I don’t just throw a bunch away. ;)
It's used for tightening/loosening the nuts on your sink faucet's water lines. Like this.
My comedian of a wife bought me this as a Christmas gift packed in a jar labeled “no I haven’t seen your fucking 10mm sockets”

Checkout Tekton, can get all their stuff on Amazon and I've been very pleased with the stuff I have from them. Best part is for the most part they don't skip sizes in their sets like other cheap stuff.

I have this set and a couple others. They have been awesome.
Husqvarna also sells their integrated oiling version for a fair amount less.
If I may so humbly suggest... add a couple of these to your kit. I don't need mine very often, but when I do, its a real time saver.
Get yourself an automatic condensate purge valve. There are two basic kinds, pressure based and electric.
Pressure based opens the stopcock once tank pressure drops below a certain point. Not at ambient pressure, because remaining pressure in the tank is used to expel the water, but only a few PSI above it.
Electrics come in either timed, switched or both. For your kind of application, I'd go with timed. Here is an example.
Set the timer to go off once a day for 5 mins and you're good to go.
$1 per blade online vs $10 per blade in store = me not caring much about performance.
With that said, I honestly think they might last longer. It probably depends on what you're using it for.
https://www.amazon.com/Oscillating-Professional-Multitool-Craftsman-Multimaster/dp/B07QKVD3HL
That's just one example. If you're looking only for wood cutting, the price per is even less.

For a dead end platform, aged batteries and no warranty that's just downright terrible.
You can get a newer M18 set for about the same price.
BONDHUS: $27.95
SNAP-ON throws their label on the same set: $150 (75 per set)
Both have the same lifetime warranty. Wow, just wow.
I don't understand why ratchet wrenches (gearwrenches) are 12 point. My ratchet wrenches are Mac Edges and are 6 point. Love them.
The Mac Edges are not made anymore but I did find a set.

I have a Tekton ratchet and it's pretty high quality. I would consider these if I was in the market for a set.
Always great to see the yellow stickers! Just a heads up too, this was on slickdeals today as Amazon's deal of the day: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002NYD1W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
This is exactly what you are looking for: https://www.amazon.com/CruzTOOLS-Groove-Tech-Drive-Socket/dp/B00134UTMQ
or use a more common spline/universal socket. Home Depot sells them in their Husky line.
Bucket toolboxes are perfectly legitimate and popular in many different places out there. Yours is a particularly nice and well constructed homemade version. I'd be surprised if anybody talked smack about it at all, really.
You might like a true bucket seat for your lid:

There are plenty of brands and they're super cheap and comfortable.
I use one like shown here...
https://www.amazon.com/ProSensor-710-Franklin-Sensors-Precision/dp/B0064EICKG
It works great! By that, I mean it actually works. I've gone through a few different Zircon (and similar) single sensor versions and have never had good luck. To the extent that they work at all, I usually have to make several passes and then average the results together. The Franklin unit works SO MUCH better (unless Zircon like units have drastically improved in the last 10 years).
Thank you! Looking at the MSRP of $489 gave me shivers: https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DW788-20-Inch-Variable-Speed-Scroll-x/dp/B000022313
Its basically brand new minus some dust, and it does need blades.

Been using this one for years, hasn’t failed me yet. Also, snap on is over rated. Just watch any comparisons videos that does stress test on whatever tool and they usually come second to last place. Don’t waste your money.

They twist lock onto the holder. They sometimes untwist in the bag, but overall I’m happy with them and would buy them again, especially for the price.
Been using the Lisle version for years. Two sizes fit most filters.
NEVER use any tool to tighten the filter.
It's the Wera 05134000001.
Bought mine off German Amazon: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07X7JSBHG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For the US you can get in from KC tool: https://www.kctoolco.com/wera-134000-kraftform-micro-big-pack-1-precision-screwdriver-set-25-pieces/
I bought these about 5 years ago. Now I don't worry about losing the original one
I'd check out Tekton. Most of the product line is available through Amazon and is of fairly decent quality for the money. I've only used the ratcheting flex wrenches but for a starter I would recommend just some plain combination wrenches.
You can get them in a ton of different of different set sizes and your choice of a wrench rack or a cloth roll(I prefer the rolls).
Here's a link to one of the larger SAE sets in a roll: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0199R9QA4/ref=emc_b_5_mob_t
It would seem that a lot of the people in the comments didn't get the joke. You could always post these wera keys or these bondhus ones. Guess people don't realize color coded hex keys are VERY common. especially from the "high end" tool manufacturers. It did make me chuckle though so I gave you an upvote.
A = 24 1/2"
B = 20 1/4"
C = 39"
D = 26"
A and B were hard to measure and eyeballed but I would say within 1".
There is an answer on the Amazon review with slightly different measurements: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F2CGXGG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
No it won't affect it. If you're looking to get a nice one, I'd recommend the split beam style. They're accurate and quick to adjust settings on. The $50 ones with the dial on the end work okay until they don't and you crack off a bolt because they never click for you. This Brand was the manufacturer for SnapOn and other pro tool trucks for decades. I think it's the pricing sweet spot for buying once and done between the stuff you can't trust when you need to, like on an engine, and the stuff pros use now which are digital and $500.
I LOVE mine (imposter model apparently). a fabricator buddy turned me onto them. We both keep acetone in them for cleaning. So nice, so, so nice. And a decent price for them too, not out of reach for an amateur
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0035FH906/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are about as low profile as is possible.
Ahhh, that's a specialty blade for cutting with the good surface on top. Normally, you would place the good surface on the bottom. As the blade cuts upward, there will be less tear-out. And, as you point out, there will be less chatter as the blade pulls the saw down onto the wood.
Your blade is for cases when the good side must be on top, such as with existing structures. I'd suggest getting some standard blades for normal work.
Some genius on reddit figured out that ammo cases would work and they DO.

I had this same dilemma recently. Went with this brushless Makita kit for a similar price on Amazon.
The only reason I decided to go with Makita is because I like that their larger tools use two 18v batteries rather than a separate 60v max or 36v battery system. Their subcompacts etc. also use the 18v system, so basically I liked their system the best that I looked at. It seems like you can get other advantages from Milwaukee or Dewalt depending on what you want to do.
Do yourself a favor and grab the accessory lead kit, makes it even easier to use, I love it

If you do need an endoscope i really like this $20 i got from amazon..
It comes with a few accesories including a hook which is perfect for dragging rings out of P traps that are set in concrete so you cant open them up.
Its also surprisingly useful been able to see inside the wall when trying to feed wiring down from the attic.
These are my favorite because I'm usually wearing some sort of hearing protection and can never hear the radio. https://www.amazon.com/3M-WorkTunes-Protector-Bluetooth-Technology/dp/B0723CYHPZ/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=3m+bluetooth&qid=1567655367&s=gateway&sr=8-4

For some reason the official version is not available on Amazon, but there are plenty of off-brands that look similar. You can also pick one up at your local home depot (not an advertiser).
basically he took a stock flexiclick and gave it a brushless motor. and decided not to explain it to people who may not be familiar with this tool brand's systems.
10" Knipex pliers wrench. They are $50 but you will never ever ever touch one of those nutfuckers your looking at after using one. I hate crecent wrenches
Tekton combination wrench set is good quality, includes both SAE and Metric, with no skips, and a lifetime warranty. It's right in the middle sweet spot of the spectrum. Unless he is a tool snob (no judging, we love them here) or one/both of you have country of origin preferences, I can guarantee this will not disappoint.
Definitely irrigation. I recognize the "nipple extractor" tool on the right.

Maybe landscaping in general (with lighting), but less clear.
Damn, homie. That set is $80 on Amazon.
Its a universal antenna adapter for cars. Its for when you install an aftermarket radio in a vehicle, this adapter will plug the radio antenna into almost any make/model of vehicle.
Especially when you can get an equivalent Gearwrench set for under $50.
I'm sure the Snap-on screwdrivers are better, and smoother, and whatnot. But are they 10X better for 10X the price??
Some of those hand held clamps can be reversed to operate as a spreader.
I don’t know about those specifically. But a hardware store or Home Depot type place would have ones you can examine.
Like some other snap on stuff, they rebrand certain products. Both our sets were made in the same factory most likely

I would get this
May seem kind of boring, but will be more useful and last you far longer than any "as seen on TV" novelty tool.
They're for industrial machinery cabinets, HVAC access panels, and some shutoffs. There's something like five standards that cover the entire world, but those are the three most common.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002M0URUE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_6WY41PPT8ZRZRFW0S5NB
On Amazon they have bluetooth scanners for Android. Runs about 25 bucks. Best thing ever, plus you can possibly pill real time info depending on your car, an added plus to trouble shooting. This is the one I bought. There are some cheaper now though! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005NLQAHS/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_OfK5wbCAZE7MG
I will second the GearWrench suggestion. I have a set of flex head 120xp ratchets. They are very nice. Even their standard ratchets are 84 tooth which is fine by most standards. Amazon has the GearWrench 81206F 3-Piece Full Polish Ratchet Set for $63 w/ Prime shipping right now.
Harbor Freight has their Pittsburgh Professional line of ratchets that are 72 tooth. They are a lot better than they should be for the price. Make sure you use a 20% off coupon on the 1/2" drive one. It might be worth it for you to print out three coupons and go through the checkout line three times.
They also have flex head versions
well for your side missile there is a legit bit holder from dewalt that screws in there, but that top one is one isn't something i've seen.
Edit: a bit more amazon shopping reveals this fucking monstrosity lol
I personally prefer the griplock style jaws. if i was only buying one set it would be these. but tbh I kindof hate the groovelock style adjustment after using the button lock type. you don't have to spend knipex money to get this style as irwin "groovelock" pliers are decent quality and have the button lock. I own the knipex cobras, the irwins, and the channelocks and would rate them in that order just because I like the button lock more than the groove lock adjustment(to be fair the channelock brand is much higher quality steel than the irwins and will last longer). one other thing to consider is the Craftsman 9-45433 pliers set as they are just re-branded knipex cobras and I have seen them on sale b4 for about $30 (cammelcammelcammel shows they were $27.61 in may of 2017 on amazon)
Imo the single sets that have everything tend to be cheaper quality. Also it depends on your budget. My go to everyday bits are the Pilot Point Titanium from DeWalt. Use em on anything other than concrete. Amazon has them on sale now for $13 for a 21 pc set.
Not a drywall axe. They have a panned head to sink the nail and indent the drywall paper without tearing it. This is a shinglers/roofing hatchet. The holes are there to set a stop so you can use the hatchet head to show your exposure on the shingle courses. A blade may have been included.
I’ll be damned. You’re right usually I just smash decent/okay punches eventually and cut them down or throw them out but it looks like its time for an upgrade amazon link
Klein.

It's what I use and I suggest them. I've been using them for many years
Amazon, $115. Pretty awesome deal considering the price for other sets with less pieces. I've used them a few times now and the quality seems solid. 4/5 star rating on Amazon. Not too sure what the warranty is like on them, the box says lifetime warranty but the gearwrench website says that bit sockets are an "exception to the limited lifetime warranty." So I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I use one of these oil containers for my motorhome, which holds 7 quarts of oil. I installed a Fumoto engine oil drain valve on the motorhome. It allows me to hook up a drain hose from the valve to the container, so overflowing is not a problem. Plus, it keeps things a lot less messy.

Knipex does offer a full line-up of tethered tools... but they are fairly expensive.
Makita makes a thin kerf 6 1/2 blade specifically designed for use in track saws. Its a little pricey, but it cuts clean, fast, and thin. Other than that, I like diablo 60 tooth blades for more normal use.
These look like them, but it's not the only one. There's also a Tekton set but they'd have had a brand name if that's what they were.
Another $80 and you could get a Little Giant off amazon. Free shipping if you have prime. https://www.amazon.com/Little-Giant-14016-001-22-foot-Ladder/dp/B004G7TAEA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484700913&sr=8-1&keywords=LITTLE+GIANT+LADDER
You want a Dripless ETS2000.
I switched over to the Dripless brand last year, and it really took some getting used to, after yeaaaars of applying a bead and hitting the release to stop it from dripping, I had to unlearn that muscle memory... But ever since I’ve gotten used to this guy, I’ll never go back to a conventional “dripless” caulk gun.
If Amazon isn’t your cup of tea, and you’re in the US, they’re available in store at Sherwin-Williams.
Something like a 1/4" bit ratchet would be nice for those tight corners, provided you have enough clearance for the ratchet head.
Tekton makes a good product as well. I got a set of these that is my main set now..
Not sure how important the Amazon is to you but if you buy through Texans store directly they give you credit back toward more tools for every dollar you spend.
I approve. I recently purchased this one off of Amazon and was impressed with the quality for $35.
Needs a few mods maybe to hold special tools better but is a solid winner.
I have this Bosch: https://jet.com/product/detail/1bf07500ae484d2c929d025f2a617dad?jcmp=pla:ggl:a_nj_dur_cwin_hardware_a1_b2:tools_saws_a1_other:na:PLA_649315863_30291843142_pla-162781280220:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15
I really love it. It's plenty powerful for pretty much anything and the folding stand locks into the frame well and is light weight and makes it pretty easy to lug around. I would definitely recommend it for just about anything except serious cabinetry or furniture making.
> Not a fan of their needle nose. Not beefy enough for me.
Check out their needle-nose combination pliers.
I googled SDS plus anchor driver. This is one thing that came up. I am a shade tree mechanic, and I have beat on my Mayhew brand pry bars relentlessly. 3 sizes for $50 versus $150 for one tool truck bar. I don't think there is a better value for the home gamer. The steel is quality and fairly hard unlike the hazard frought junk. Not hating on tool truck brands...they just don't always make economic sense for non-pros.
I have a very similar pair of cutters (totally unbranded). They use these blades https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003V5IP0I which are longer than yours. A couple clicks, though, led to this: https://www.amazon.com/MTP-Replace-Blade-Craftsman-Handi-Cut/dp/B084DGCZ1W
Stabila makes an "entry level" kit. It's really nice, more compact, and is fully covered under stabila warranty, is no different in quality from the larger models. I bought is and use it, a lot.
Ratcheting multi-bit screwdrivers are complex tools and its hard to get everything right no matter the brand. Its easier to find a good bit driver without the ratcheting and/or bit storage. The best out of the bunch is this Megapro:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Megapro-211R1C36RD-1-Inch-Ratcheting-Automotive/dp/B004VJY1FQ
The only downside is that its rather large, a trait shared with most bit storing drivers. I find mine useful for one driver that can do most jobs and the thick handle can really apply the torque. The only reason I don't use it more often is that I have a dozens of other bit drivers.
Phillips screws are sized as : PH#
PH2 is a "regular size" phillips screw. PH1 is a smallish phillips screw. PH0 is probably the size you're looking for - small electronics and such. PH00 and PH000 are smaller than PH0, but are not that common unless you're taking apart pretty small electronic components. PH3 is a "big" size that's used for commercial door hinges and stuff like that.
I'd recommend getting some sort of small screwdriver bit set. The Tekton brand "Everybit" sets are good sets that are inexpensive. This one will suit your needs for a reasonable price.
That's a cheap import Wilton vise. Not the same as their expensive Tradesman vises.
You can get it for $123 new on Amazon.

This is on sale right now at Amazon. Excellent saw at a very good price. It will last your lifetime no problem. A little more than you may want to spend but it will do every job around your home and is a better saw than many at that price.
It looks like a 5mm hex key, if you go to a local hardware store you can purchase a folding hex key set. Or get it on Amazon hex key set
I did a lot of research and trial and error testing trying to find some of the best #2 bits and what I have found is Zephyr is the manufacturer for Snap-on hex bits.
They are made in the USA and in my opinion, are hands down the best bits I have ever used!
The great thing is you can pick up a pack of 10 bits for only $2.50! It's actually insane how affordable they are for how great and quality they are. I would easily pay 10x the amount for them and be happy.
These bits last forever and I have never had an issue with them stripping anything.
I bought this years ago. I was restoring an old motorcycle and replaced everything with stainless hex caps and used this to order all the sizes I needed. I use this all the time to go grab a nut or bolt at lowes. I think everyone needs something like this.
You can thread the nuts onto one side and then screw the bolts into the other side.
hex head as in - https://www.amazon.com/External-Stainless-Thread-Bright-Finish/dp/B07C667C2B well you just need a nut driver attachment ex https://www.harborfreight.com/2-916-in-impact-rated-magnetic-nut-setters-sae-5-piece-64767.html
Amazon carries them for about $60.
NSFW Obviously.
Also there is a Black and Decker recip saw in the "Customers also viewed" section lol.
You can't beat Tekton for quality at their price point. For a basic all around ratchet set, these will do 90% of what you're wanting to do.
TEKTON 3/8-Inch Drive Socket Set, Inch/Metric, 6-Point, 5/16-Inch - 3/4-Inch, 8 mm - 19 mm, 45-Piece | 13101 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RCYX4WI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-mlOCbTPW82T9
I personally use them for suspension struts, sway bar links, and just really deep bolts that require nuts.
Suspension struts will usually have a Allen / Torx rod you have to hold while undoing the nut, same with sway bar links.
I don't really seem them as a gimmick they have come in handy a few times, and are usually much more stronger than a ratchet spanner.
The brand I have is BAHCO / S140T - it's 3/4 Drive I don't recommend it but I like it and it furfill my needs.
A brand I would Consider- https://www.amazon.com/GearWrench-893823-Drive-23-Piece-Ratchet/dp/B000RU73K8?th=1 - Gear Wrench has Metric SAE and has a more usable ratchet.
I like the select Capri tools I have, but not at that price. Looks exactly like tektons set, which is 1/3rd the price
Stahlwille should be like $100 shipped. Gedore should be like $90 shipped.
The locks are run-of-the-mill cam locks. Nothing special about them.
Generic replacements such as this will work. You may have to bend the tailpiece of the new locks slightly to match the mating surface of the old ones.
I’ve gone bougie with my tools during covid, so I’m using the Klein zipper bags. The bright colours let everyone else know you have $50 to spend on some canvas sacks...
They are really nice though. And they make huuuge ones, I’ve seen them on Amazon https://www.amazon.ca/Klein-5539LNAT-Canvas-Zipper-Natural/dp/B07R6XPCTD?th=1&psc=1
Veto Pro Pacs probably has something you’d find to fit your needs. Pricey though.
I use a Husky open top bag but have been eyeing this Toughbuilt Tote as an upgrade lately. Might be something to consider if you like the bucket buddy and Veto stuff is too hard to justify like myself currently.
