Ah, this one looks like ebookdroid that I used years ago. Yeah, that's the first one I used to read pdf based on margin trimming feature. Sadly it became quite laggy with my later devices (and OS) so I stopped using it.
I have the same need as you. The ones that work for me are: EbookDroid and Readera
Ebookdroid is free ebook reader it support a number of formats: DjVU, PDF, XPS (OpenXPS), FictionBook (fb2 and fb2.zip), Comics Book formats (cbr and cbz), plus - starting with version 2 - EPUB, RTF, MOBI and AWZ3.

EBookDroid - extremely customizable with tons of features.
My favorite thing about it is that it loads the whole document and then you can jump instantly between pages with no loading time.
I've searched through a lot of readers and settled for this one.
Comic book files (CBR & CBZ) are just compressed RAR files. I usually extract the pics into a folder and read them with the windows photo viewer.
On Android, I use the App EBookDroid for CBR, CBZ, PDF, ePub, mobi. Once you play with the settings it becomes really nice.
EbookDroid reads most formats and has tabs, cropping and a lot of options.

In the meantime, there are these books. Free PDF versions of each physical book can be found here.
If you are stuck using a phone, and it is Android, the EbookDroid app is a great for reading PDFs, because of all the book and view mode settings.
Nice tip. When I read pdf files on my phone I use the auto crop feature from ebookdroid, along with landscape orientation:

The first thing that hit me when I held my friend's iPhone 5s and it was the first phone with USB 3.0 or 2.0? On a second go using LightRom, I was able to uninstall the damn thing if I don't have any desire to be tinkering anymore. EBookDroid - PDF & DJVU Reader - Free - Rating: 76/100 - Search for 'Google Now Launcher' on the Play Store. ------. ^Source ^Code ^| ^Feedback/Bug ^report.
