I use Echo Lockscreen

It displays notifications, has a music player in the lock screen, basic security functions, and doesn't kill my battery.

Echo Notification Lockscreen is similar, although doesn't look quite as nice.

I got my first smartphone this week (had a nexus 7 tablet for almost two years) and I discovered a lot of great apps while going through the "new device" motions! You guys probably know about most of these but if you don't, check them out!

Here's my current setup

Echo Notifactions Lockscreen. A very minimalistic lockscreen which is exactly what I look for. It looks great and the notification grouping is a nice touch. The free version has "suggestions" which are ads but they are very unobtrusive. I like it so much I might even get the premium version to support the developers!

Month Calendar Widget. Absolutely great looking calendar widget, especially with the minimalism pack (which I bought).

Glyphsy Icon Pack. Finishing out my minimalism trio! This pack isn't as extensive as other icon packs but it has pretty much everything you'll need for theming needs. Looks great with the Month widget too!

I don't think you can. These lock screen controls are there because app developer added it. So that users can select it if they don't like default Android lockscreen control for music by LG or Stock Android.

Unless Spotify adds their own lockscreen controls. You won't be able to customise it for Spotify.

There is one option. You can use other lockscreen app. For example, Echo lockscreen & Next lockscreen. There are tons of lockscreen apps like this & this one. But they have ads in free versions & ask for way to many permissions. So, Check before installing any lockscreen apps.
